As we all know about grading and everything and moving that to Snype from eBay. Would this help grading and without shill? Probstein, one of eBay's biggest sellers, is leaving the platform to create their own called Snype. According to cllct, Rick Probstein has sold nearly 6,000,000 sports collectibles generating $925,000,000 in sales over the last 20+ years. For sports collectibles, eBay currently charges a 13.25% seller’s fee on the total amount of sale up to $7,500, and 2.35% on the portion over $7,500. On Snype, Probstein has dropped his commission fees down to 5% on an item under $1,000 and 3% for an item over $1,000. If you're an eBay seller, would you consider checking out an alternative platform with a smaller audience but fees that work better in your favor? |

I have avoided buying from Probstein, and them having their own platform sounds dubious to me. For me it would really depend on if there's any actual push to go to them, as there's no way to know if they have any real protections for buyers and sellers that eBay doesn't already have. If there's not a lot of draw to it, then you'll probably pull in less in sales than paying more fees with eBay. If that happens, then no amount of lower fees will help. I've been on eBay for 26, almost 27 years, and I really don't see a lot of reason to switch to another platform.
Of course, this could just be the old man yelling at cloud starting to creep into my world view.... |

FanaticsCollect (PWCC) basically has ZERO commission fees since they charge buyers 20%. Not sure I'd be a buyer there, but it's great for selling. At least you never have to ask where is the stuff I sent you!

Snype and Rick are a mother truckin’ joke. Hope no one uses Probstein on any platform moving forward. |

Did I read that right? One of those shill accounts was bidding upwards of $250k on items?

Save 20% on selling fees, auction results sell 20% less. Same outcome. Tomatoe, tomAHtoe. The grifters continue their intellectual griftery, while the unknowing seller feels happy
