I have some retail incoming. That will be it.

Then I’ll save for a Chrome reaming.

I can't think of any in the last 3 years, but before that, 2019 produced at least these two upon release:

2019-20 Immaculate NCAA. I think there was like a 50% chance of pulling either a Zion auto or an RPA /5 or less. Something crazy like that.

2019-20 Optic Target Complete Set. I think selling the Zion and Ja raw would either get you your money back or even for awhile turn you a profit. So you could open the bonus pack for free.

Crazy times.

Or is it possible this release looked weak in quality and value from the start, and those criticizing it were waiting for confirmation on that? This thread is getting a lot of discussion because it's the first fully-licensed Topps product in a decade-and-a-half. Don't expect as many comments for future releases -- TC should get a fair amount of discussion, though.

Or that no one is interested in making sets or a master set like baseball. Everyone is just looking for that home run hit. Guess I'll make a bts this week since I'm trying for a master set.

Just because I’m not trying to sell everything I open for the purpose of profit doesn’t mean I don’t open anything I analyze. Your assumptions are horrendously inaccurate. I’ve spent more opening product over the last twenty years than you have, I promise you that.

People can have interest in any and all products even without opening them. I take those opinions more seriously because they don’t have an ulterior motive, ie, they aren’t trying to flip boxes and cards for profit.

The only complainers to any of our posts are the guys who are trying to turn their products and cards - we are a threat to your sales and you will do anything and say anything to discredit any naysayers of a product you are typing to pump.

We get it. Your profit-motivated participation in the hobby gives us a great perspective of your side, so why don’t you learn to tolerate the other view?

Ah yes, the quest for the mighty dollar overrides all.
That is very impressive for someone who doesn't sell. I am over 1 million in opened product since 2012 and that is inventory, so if you spent 7 figures and are not selling, that is certainly impressive.

I still don't understand why you wouldn't share your breaks though. You don't even need pictures. Nor do you need to be a seller. If you simply said "I opened 20 blasters and hated the design. Collation sucked and I couldn't even make one set", that would be a perfect discussion point. People would know that you opened the product, had a bad experience, and then shared that experience with others. If you take others' opinions seriously, then I would assume you would gravitate towards opinions that contain detail such as that. You would instantly go from troll to informed consumer if any of us actually knew you were participating in the product.

Nobody here is a threat to sales though. That's where you are wrong. My eBay store and card shows are not the least bit affected by Hermano. Nor do I need to "pump" a product. There is NOTHING that I can say on this forum that would result in customer acquisition or an increase in sales. Nothing. in fact, it would be better if people didn't open product because that would mean less singles on the market. If money was that important, I would be the loudest complainer here. I would say that every product sucked so that less would open it. Why would I invite competition if the mighty dollar overrode all?

This forum is such a tiny part of the hobby. If I wanted to pump, improve customer acquisition, generate sales, etc. I'd be better off paying for a Facebook ad, eBay ads, and linking my store all over social media. I don't even have an Instagram lol. I have a Facebook page with like 35 followers. That is the extent of my social media presence. I'm the last person who would pump a product lol.

So why are you so sensitive about criticism towards a product or company or hobby culture? Aren’t you interested in hearing why folks don’t like a product? Anything wrong with people venting here, or in any other thread, for that matter?

Flagship is a low end product with a high end price tag , you know. Also fanatics first entry back into licensed NBA.

There’s a lot to discuss.

I opened a value box today that was a gift and got a /5 and /150 along with some variations and inserts. All in all it was enjoyable to rip.

I'm really not. I am very interested in hearing the opinions of anyone not named Hermano, MFW, or Fabiani. This is more an indictment on you guys, who swarm every single thread with the same comments. You don't even need to type anymore. Just copy and paste what you've said in the last 100 threads. And it's not like it's just me with a stick up my butt. You guys have been criticized by so many folks on this forum. The lack of self-awareness is pretty crazy. If you were banned today, it would be celebrated. That's not the mark you should want to leave. At least I know my presence here is valued.

As far as this product, the pre-sale lasted long enough for everyone to participate at far lower prices than secondary. Everyone here had the opportunity to buy at lower prices. I have 30 blasters arriving tomorrow that I paid $24.99/ea. for. I'm fine paying $25 for a low-end flagship product. It would be hard for me to be disappointed unless condition or collation isn't good. There's only so many bad things you can say about a $25 flagship blaster. Again, I stay in my lane. I'm not buying $500 jumbos and pumping it up as a great product. I think that price is absurd. My perspective is going to come from $25 blasters. That's the difference. An informed consumer would identify the best bang for the buck and then talk about why that is so. We don't need yet another person to tell us how the breaker culture is inflating hobby prices. That is a dead horse that we've beaten for years.

There are many “like you” around here so you have a self-inflated view of your value here - you are great for the rippers and flippers and folks who are in the hobby primarily to make money.

Collectors here are a minority, as they are a minority in the hobby.

But we tolerate you here, so you can try your best to tolerate us.

I did not. I do not live in the US and have to pay ridiculous prices to play the game.

I would love the opportunity!

I ripped my pre order boxes and had a blast and did well. Can’t wait to open the FE blasters. Great product IMO at pre order pricing.

I've only posted 23 times in this thread -- it's got nearly 940 posts. I've been in another thread discussing the merits of an upcoming release. As a Curry collector, this release is a disappointment to me and I just wanted to post about it one more time -- I'm not interested in having an extended discussion on trading cards that don't appeal to me. I'm not trying to ruin the enthusiasm others might have for it.

I've opened up quite a bit of retail already. 20 blasters and 52 hangers. My first 20 hangers from Target were fantastic. Cooper Flag Gold /2025. Joel Embiid Sonic Boom SSP, 2 Autos New Applicant Brooks Barnhizer and New Applicant Alijah Martin. Kon Knueppel /150 base. And a 3 other gold rookies to /2025. At that point I thought Hangers were bangers again, so I hit 3 Dick's stores and bought their limit of 10 each. They were really bad. 1 or 2 golds /2025, no one of significance. No autos and the best cards were Chaz Lanier /50 base and Dylan Harper Rainbow Foil. The Diamante parallels were bad all together in the 52 hangers. Not sure if I just was in a bad sequence, but I hardly pulled any rookies at all. It seems, either the Diamantes are all rookie or all vets. I did pull 1 numbered Diamante /50...dusty vet.

Blaster...I did not do all that well. 2 Autos Nique Clifford and another auto I can't remember. I did pull 1 Golden Mirror Jaylon Tyson. I probably pulled 20 base Cooper Flaggs and a bunch of Cooper Inserts.

I opened 2 jumbo boxes. I had one crazy one. It had 2 Real One autos. it was the ultimate troll boxes. First auto Real one...Mavs....Derek Lively! Ugh, then Team Color Parallel...Mavs Derek Lively!! Then out of no where last pack of the box...I got a Red Dick! I should probably go see someone about that, lol
