Take a look at a BGS 9 Bowman paper (base) and check the subgrades — prices on those usually run lower in a BGS slab compared to a PSA 9.

Way too common of a card. At that price you have a lot of options, why not something serial numbered? Or for a little more, splurge on a rookie auto!

not many thoughts from me. never really bought anything from him that i can remember.

didnt greg morris try his own marketplace as well? didnt work out so well for him. nobody can get as many eyes on a card as Ebay can.

Greg morris is probably the largest raw card seller on ebay (sold 9 million cards) and his raw cards routinely sell for more than psa graded copies.

he is a pretty big deal on ebay

fanatics is a little different because they are worth, what, $18 Billion and can throw money/advertising at anything they want to do.

Fantatics, goldin, heritage (?), etc seem to be doing great, I bet Snype is going to be huge

Most of the time people will buy graded over raw, especially if it’s expensive. Way too hard to judge just by a front and back picture, since raw you can turn it slightly and see something at different angles

As far as raw selling for more than PSA graded copies, what PSA grades? Can’t imagine a raw selling for more than a 10 or 9 since they’re graded

It is very possible that Probstein will do great. I dont have any feelings good/bad towards him. I know that there are quite a few folks here on BO that do not like him at all.

It is very difficult to drive eyeballs to a site once they leave ebay. PWCC struggled after they were kicked off the bay. It really took the fanatics takeover and their deep pockets to make it what it is today.

Anyway, another Contenders ticket sold for 35k OBO, so who knows the exact price but it was an Authentic. Can't imagine it went for anything less than 25-30k range considering the list price was 35. Looks like that argument about prices was put to bed. Not much of a counter-argument here to begin with other than illogic.

Another sold for 23k on the 19th. Authentic grade, 23k not sure if it was an offer lower it was crossed out. But there's two more Contenders sales in the past 5 days in addition to the two others we talked about. So the price has doubled + compared to prices 1-3 years ago after the bubble deflated, it's not an opinion but a fact. It's an obvious trend upwards, we'll see what happens but my hot take is we're going back to covid land price wise.

Wouldn’t be surprised if close to one billion has been sold by him, so odd to wonder how his new site is going to do

Authentic/auto 8 on eBay for $19,999 obo

A few others in the mid $20’s with obo, probably too high or else they wouldn’t be on there still

I think if I get a Brady auto I’m going to just get an early years or a Super Bowl winning year auto. I’m too nervous about fakes with his rookie cards at the price point I’m at. I think the only rookie auto I would go for is the round numbers auto but would have to save a up a bit for that and at that time I may be priced out

I guess that is a little better. that is the biggest i can make it unless i pay for VIP with tapatalk. in the future, I plan on taking better images of the different brands of his rookies. ie. upper deck, playoff etc. it will be easier to get nice shots with fewer cards in frame.

with all 44 I had to try and get all of them in, without glare, and then tried to zoom in on the image of just the cards. didnt work out too well.

I think it is interesting that there are 4 upper deck cards that use the same image

the playoff contenders and momentum use almost the exact same image. looks like just a few frames difference.
