I think that Gabe Davis is pretty suspect. If you are happy with him as a primary weapon, God bless ya. Brian Thomas seems pretty decent, but he's still a rookie.

Not sure why this all matters any way in the CJ Stroud thread. He's clearly at this point the perceived best QB in the division with best upside and clearly has the best WR stable.

I watched at least five Jags games last year and no doubt they have some talented players, but they just can't seem to put it together as a team.

Maybe it's the coaching, the QB, the leadership or a combination of all three.

IMO, this is the Texans division, but we will see.

Agree.

Looking forward to seeing what he does. Hopefully, with all the weapons at his disposal he doesn't have the sophomore slump.

Quite simple. I asked pointed questions as to what the perceived strengths were of the Texans to make them runaway division winners and you responded with a bashing post of Jags. It's at the top of the last page is you want to refresh your memory.

Good luck to your investments!

Boss gave me tickets to the game today at the last minute. 10 rows back at the 50 yard line. I swear half the crowd had CJ jerseys on. He looks so effortless out there - really hoping for big things this year.

He came over after warmups and signed for all the kids as well.

Texans gonna be a dangerous team this year. I’m expecting CJ to put together another really strong year.

See how it pans out when Steph doesn’t get 10 touches a game.

Their first team offense had 0 points in 2 possessions against the Giants defense. Granted they should’ve kicked a field goal on the first one but other than that they stalled out the other drive.

Stroud looked good though.

Drafting CJ as my QB in FF. 6 pts per TD pass.

Usually go Josh Allen very early but making the pivot this year. Would be surprised if he doesn't lead the league in passing yards.

Tough to evaluate him behind that o-line. He did have a 100.4 RTG coming into this game.

This is nonsense. He's not as good as people thought he was after his rookie year, plain and simple.

He's 20th in completion percentage

20th in yards/game

tied for 10th in interceptions with 4

22n in yards per attempt

17th in QB rating which is 91, tied with Justin Fields

That number is heavily skewed by two games against two of the worst defenses in the league. It's not indicative of how he played in the other 3, and was supported by how he played on Monday.

You can see he still has potential when he’s kept upright and not flustered by a constant pass rush. I’m confident they will try and address this o line in the off season

RIP to whoever paid a premium for Burrow, Lawrence, Herbert, and a bunch of other players too. They are 4-5 plus years out and haven't realized their potential.
CJ is in just his 3rd season. Good news is I have steadily loaded up on great CJ cards at discounted panic sell rates. Hope others did too.
