Maybe so. As for me, I collected them as a kid in the early 80's then picked it back up in 2014.

I’m a fan of Wacky Packages just not a fan of the new price. Just bought an original Chris Meeks piece from last year’s release for the collection. Hoping some of these Halloween original art pieces show up in the wild.

I've been a Wacky Packages fan since I was buying them for 25 cents a pack in the 80s. I started buying them again at retail in the 2000s when they were $10/blaster box, which was the price they were until Covid caused all prices to get jacked up. I used to buy the annual Halloween sets up until the price jumped as well. I'm guessing the card and sketch artists don't get a cut of the 300% increase in prices in the last few years.
People that bought these to speculate will be sad to learn that even good Wacky sketches usually go for less than $20. The old farts that collect these have mostly been buying them since the 70s and are really cheap. Last edited by Rictor; 10-18-2025 at 01:48 AM. |
