Nice! That's a great one to add to the collection. Congratulations.

I am a Cardinals fan and have high hopes for Rainiel Rodriguez. I bought 10 cases. Watched a recap of this break but missed this hit until I opened my mail!

Just Orioles prospects; not chasing anyone whatsoever which is highly unusual for me.

Mega case shows up today. Evidently Chrome packs in Mega boxes now have some sort of geometric refractor parallel as well as Red rookies. Adds a tiny bit of value to the base packs.

Interesting... Can you point me to more info on these? You're talking about the dummy packs that were previously 100% hitless base, correct?

Yes. Youtube breaks suggest you land ~3 geometric refractors in each box and 1 red rookie.

Excellent. I looked through a lot of the marketing materials and didn't see anything. Topps REALLY needed to goose those base packs with something. Considering ordering a case or two now.

something in the base packs is better than the base for sure, but next year that will mean a $10+ increase in price

Megas are nice but the only draw back for me is that all the autos won't have the 1st logo on them for prospects. Cuts the value down dramatically. Having the Red RC's and this new unnumbered parallel in the base packs eases the sting a bit.

I mean, would it really hurt Topps to add a guy or two in here who weren't in BC and BC Sapphire as some sort of added incentive?

Got my case and a box. Opened the box; 2 "geometric" parallels in the base chrome packs. Nothing else of note.

Are the base geometric /499 or are they different than those in breakers boxes?

Unless I am mistaken, after watching a couple of mega box breaks they don't look like the geometric parallels from the Breakers Delight boxes. They look like they have thin lines on them, like lasers in a sense.

I love Garbage Pail Kids, I bought so many packs of those in '85 and '86. Would routinely buy that over baseball cards at the gas station.

RIP childhood gas station.

watched a break and the parallels in the base packs are NOT geometrics like the breakers delight boxes. they are some sort of laser parallel, but there is nothing out there on their official name (shocker)

Crazy to me that the product is now out and we still don't have odds (for the Megas I mean). Yet the basketball products all have odds already listed. No odds for update either. And not even a checklist for Diamond Icons which is out in 2 weeks. But thank God we've got Spongebob and Dune cards coming!

Why did they combine two photos into one? Could someone not get the entire gas station in one photo?
