Good for him.
Also married his high school sweetheart. I don't want to come across as a Lebron stan and the guy definitely has an ego but he gets way too much hate. All you have to do is look at how seriously this very obvious publicity stunt is being taken in order to see that.

Nobody was saying he was washed 10 years ago, this is weak low hanging fruit even for you.

I chuckled at that as well. The only person saying 31yo LeBron was washed was probably hermano

I am convinced, almost all of the hate toward Lebron is from diehard Jordan fans. The Venn diagram between the two may well be a circle. There is a whole segment of basketball fans that think Jordan is the be all and end all of all things basketball. Their basketball identity is linked to that. Anybody that comes along and remotely threatens this will get a constant barrage of hate and comments of being overrated, not as good, etc.

Yes, Lebron is a massive narcissist. He has "the chosen one" tattooed for crying out loud. I really enjoy listening to him talk basketball. He has a great grasp of the game and seems to really respect the history of it. I have said before, when he retires, the NBA is going to be less off. He has been a really big positive for the NBA for all these 20 years.

Must just be your circle or something because that's not my experience at all. Maybe it used to be, but most people that I talk to that can't stand him are casual basketball fans that are just tired of him. He has been shoved down our throats for so long and he thinks everyone cares what he thinks when they don't. He's the Taylor Swift of basketball.

Well that's what happens when you're the best player on earth for multiple decades.

I dunno..stuff like this doesn't bother me in the least. Even if it's a basketball related announcement (I'm kinda leaning towards it's not and it's a tongue in cheek parody of his original decision) I just don't care enough to get upset about it either way.

For the record, I was saying he was one of the most physically gifted athletes in NBA history, even ten years ago. I’ve always maintained that.

Agreed. People are inevitably going to get tired of you (although, it isn't just the media that keeps him in the spotlight). Same reason people don't like Jordan, the Warriors, Tom Brady/Patriots, Mahomes/Chiefs, the Yankees, the Cowboys, etc.

Oh yea I hate the Yankees with every fiber of my being. I hope they lose every game for the rest of forever.

The difference is that I don't spend my time posting about it on the internet

It’s what happens when you’ve got a millennial mindset and you’re blindly worshipped by your millennial fanbois.

The man is a mental deviant, he just doesn’t get what it takes to be adored.

“Maybe it’s me?”

Seriously, seek help.

I'm not even going to respond to anything else you say from here on out. Have fun

I highly doubt it’s nearly all from Jordan fans.

He’s said some really dumb things. My personal favorite was when he tried calling out an innocent cop. Media never talks about that though.

Haha lebron being lebron

As a side not i dont get people defending him being a conceited turd because he was hyped beyond belief and actually lived up to it. Everyone realizes Sidney Crosby had unbelievable hype as well and lived up to every little bit of it. Crosby is about as nice and down to earth superstar as possible

Also can we all agree Hennessy is one of the most overrated alcoholic products in the world? Cognac’s are bleh. Popular because of hip hop essentially. Way rather have an expensive bottle of scotch or even bourbon (shoutout to you boys in the us)

If you asked 100 random people who Sidney Crosby is how many do you think would actually know? Again, not saying that Lebron doesn't have a massive ego as he very clearly does. All I'm saying is that given his level of fame he's not that bad. His main offense is being corny and lame.

And also if I’m not mistaken. He donated most of the profits from the first decision. Wonder if he does that here, too.

I think he’s trying to tell us that the only way to deal with his corniness and lameness are to drink his cognac.
