Question. When you give away cards do you hope the player actually succeeds so your gift is more valuable or do you hope the player fails so you are not kicking yourself for giving away a valuable card. No wrong or right answers just curious. I myself always hope the player succeeds so it makes me seem like a better giving person.

If doing a good deed, you should only hope for the best for the other person.

I can agree with her on the last part, I too hope that all the events fail so we'll stop having them.

Exactly. I sometimes regret it if it were the only good rookie I had of a certain player but that’s my own fault for not keeping track of my inventory. Before Roman Anthony became a thing I really didn’t keep track of who he was and almost sent my brother in law a few cards that I didn’t have doubles of. Still sent him a nice lot but glad I Kept a few for myself.

We're trying to make some plans for this weekend, but we have to both work tonight. She works 6-12 in the morning. I work 6-10 and have to be back at 5 tomorrow afternoon. We want to go see Him Sunday if it works out. I hope it will.

Hope your plans work out. Since getting back from Seattle and Alaska me and my wife have been zombies all week. Finally getting back to normal as both of us were diagnosed with Covid upon returning home. I got it first on the boat and my wife caught it from me, needless to say the last couple of days vacation weren’t as good as they should have been.

Home from the MRI. Spent about 20 minutes in the "coffin". I did remember the milkshake.

Well dinner turned into grabbing something from the hibachi truck at the event. Sucks, we wanted to go out somewhere.

High school was able to overcome the starting QB being suspended for a half to move to 7-0 and 1-0 in conference play. They were down 19-7 heading to the 4th and had 2 goal line stands in the 4th to win 22-19. Ugliest win in a long time. We had 5 turnovers, but a win is a win. Hopefully our QB learns from his mistake and the team keeps chugging along.

Just got to work for Oktoberfest. Waiting on T to get to the office so we can walk to Main St. I don't understand why we couldn't move all the vendors in last night and just be done. Plus, we give vendors a 4 hour window to move in this morning. Should be 2 hours max. Most of them wait until the last minute and then complain they don't have enough time.

Made a custom flower arrangement yesterday morning and took it to her school.

She LOVED it!

Brought home takeout from Adriatic Cafe last night.

I had a meat calzone.

Watched Ruth and Boaz.

Nice quiet anniversary.

We both took half days. Work kept spilling over into mine because we are moving someone on Monday and a lot of little things kept popping up. We were able to relax a bit. Then, we dropped the kids off at their grandmas house. We had a nice dinner. I got filet mignon and Mr JD got a ribeye. I really enjoyed mine. He got a Baileys Cholate martini and I got an Octoberfest Beer. As predicted, I needed to drive us home. We just hung out thr rest of the evening.
