Purely Speculation, but others who attended Fanatics Fest and thus could have autos would be:

Heard cases are coming out the gate at about $2000 this year. They are going to need some better names then those to justify those prices.

I have a theory on this.

I think they've purposely waiting until October to release or even show this year's product because they're waiting until they have the NBA license. There's gonna be a large NBA presence in this year's A&G. LeBron, Curry, retired players, etc.

Then, next year once they have the football license A&G will cease to be a baseball-centric product and go full on multi-sport / pop culture. If it remains a 300 card base set it'll be about 75/75/75/75 baseball, basketball, football, pop culture. Heck. They may pump WWE, Garbage Pail Kids, Spongebob and Vee Friends into it.

I really don't think Fanatics likes A&G. It's not a hypeable breaker friendly product. There was one year either 2022 or 2023 where Mikey the Rube got involved and did videos promoting A&G. But that didn't last.

I feel like they would love to kill A&G but they can't do to its passionate but niche popularity. So, they're gonna try to boost its profile by NBA'ing (and NFL'ing starting next year) the heck out of it and try to boost its profile that way.

This is all just one lunatic's speculation. But don't be surprised if some version of this happens.

You can say that about pretty much any product at its given release price point these days. That's just how wax is these days. Sucks because I'd love to rip a case of Ginter each year, but it just makes no sense whatsoever to, so I'll stick with a couple boxes instead

I love Ginter too. I can hold my nose at 1400-1500/case but I just wont do it at 2.
