Minor league teams also had a Gift With Purchase set recently. |

Thank you Bigwink, that's the first I've heard of the Harper but it confirms the numbering system they used. So GWP-20 would be a NY Yankee, GWP-22 would be Pittsburgh, GWP-23 would be San Diego, etc. going alphabetically by city.

There is a Harper up on ebay now, and a Gunnar is on Whatnot.

Thank you! Again this confirms the numbering system. GWP-1 is probably Anaheim (or Angels), GWP-2 would be Arizona, GWP-3 would be Athletics, we know GWP-4 is Atlanta and GWP-5 is Baltimore.

I did contact Topps about these. Here is the response:
"Hi Dale, My name is Djae from Topps Collector Support. I see you are inquiring about promotional cards at local stadiums and wanted to get more information. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. As we do not have information on the special promotions at specific stadiums as they are for a specific event. I would reach out to the stadiums themselves to see if you can get in contact with their events coordinator for more information." I still think Topps produced these GWP cards for all 30 teams, but only 8 have surfaced. The rest are probably in a warehouse somewhere, waiting for those remaining 22 teams to order them (which won't happen at this point.) Maybe they will join up with the 1952 High numbers in the Atlantic Ocean. |

I think you're right about the way these end up. I've been searching every where for a Shohei to add to the collection without any luck. It seems that the Dodgers ended up doing partnership with Liposome Decorté with a 3 card pack with Freeman, Shohei, Teoscar.
But I feel as you do that the remainder may never see the light of day unfortunately. A lot has changed since Fanatics took over for Topps and that is a discussion all upon it's own. |

Frustrating that even Topps can't provide a legit answer. As mentioned earlier in this thread, based off the numbering it's clear they did one per team.
I collect Rockies and Astros and have been able to track down Tovar for the Rockies. Like others I'm guessing the teams we haven't seen yet will never surface. I wonder if this was supposed to replace the international trading card day they've done in previous year and just completely botched it? |

This would be my guess as well, Im not sure why they went and did it this way. Maybe some exec had a bright Idea of charging the teams for these and it didn't go over well and didn't get ordered by the teams. That's only my WAG, but I wouldn't be afraid to bet money that it was botched on the Topps/Fanatics side of things as that seems par for the course for that company.

The Trading card day was advertised as a promotional day. Then it up and disappeared from the MLB team site. I think Topps F'd up somehow but to me were different deals. Only one sleeve of about 500 cards from what I saw. |
