Checklist isn't bad. It's what I expected it to be with all the guys I listed that should be in there. But I agree, that 2026 Series 1 will be incredible!

After perusing the rookies.....yeah....gonna pass.

my favorite part of looking at the update list is seeing which players are no longer with the teams they are being updated on to.

I'm a Mets fan (please, no comments, I've suffered enough) and just my eye of a few of them...
- Blade Tidwell is with the Giants
- Steven Matz got traded to the Red Sox
- Travis Jankowski played four games for the Mets over the span of a week, got one plate appearance with the team - a sac bunt - before getting released. He has a card.
- Josh Naylor, Seattle Mariner, is with the D'Backs here

i'm sure that's just the surface, but still...
...i remember when the update series had players who were traded at the deadline with their new teams, but... oh well, I suppose I am just an old soul these days.....

What's the point of the Rookie Debut cards really? I'd rather just seem more obscure players who were traded. Or maybe something more creative.

He didn't make the checklist as he was called up way after the cutoff date to be in Update. He should be in Series 1 along with this MASSIVE LIST....

Looking over this checklist is overwhelming....so many rookies, so many inserts. The pull rates for anything good are gonna be absolutely insane......a case feels like just as much of a gamble as a single box.

Chase DeLauter was just added to the Guardians' taxi squad for the Wildcard Series. Hopefully he'll get to play.

It isn't a requirement to go after them. I think its an incredible addition. I love that they made an area defined for them to be singed. My only hope is that the signatures are clean. These fancy colored autographs look horrible when the pen starts running out of ink or it looses its tip. I would think these will be in extremely high demand.

Considering Topps made it a point to post about them on their social media first, I would agree. Too bad they don't appear to be numbered.

of course no card is a requirement to own

but we are talking about a program they introduced when they took over from topps (in 2023) to squash the popular "Image Variations" in Flagship. So its now in year three of them saying how "SSP" they are and now there is an additional auto parallel made that they are just claiming to be "SSP". They "said" the PR on the non-autos is "150". They could only make ten of the auto parallel, we will never know.

Rockies have 17 cards in Update - makes the 2025 series 1 / series 2 / update team set 42 cards total. That's the largest team checklist ever since I started building the Topps Black team sets.

there is no "cutoff date" its just random from year to year and this year we had a rookie called up on July 3rd in Colson Montgomery and somehow not get in Update


yet pitcher Logan Henderson who was called up on August 3rd, somehow has rookies in Bowman Chrome
