The copy of the report she received today was a draft from last month's unofficial report. It goes up on a Teams shared file system and then each Team Lead goes in and updates their portion. When it's done, I go back and spell check, look at punctuation, etc. None of that was done yet. It was whatever the leads put in on their own.

So Mrs. FT just called me and it is confirmed that the oldest SD had some tissue removed from her breast today and it tested positive for cancer. We don't have all of the details yet on how much more is inside her or what stage.

I will admit that the mind of addict is bewildering to me because she can smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, do drugs which already caused two overdoses, get shot because of her lifestyle, drink alcohol like it's water, but she is torn up that she may die from breast cancer.

She most likely feels like she has some control over the things she puts into her body. This is her body attacking itself. She probably feels very powerless and scared right now. I hope she is able to make a full recovery and it didnt spread to her bones.

Thanks Josie. We are prepared for the worst because she actually discovered this lump probably 5 - 7 years ago and never bothered to go get it checked out when she had a job with insurance or when she was eligible for state insurance. I'm not sure when her next appointment is to get anything checked out, but I'll keep you updated.
