Looks like 2.5 months for 50 cards.

Anyway, yes, I think this was mentioned in one of the larger Topps threads.

With this being an MCU set, I wonder if likenesses are allowed. Given that the due dates are only four days apart, I doubt it though.

This has been a thing for a long time. It helps them with the approval process.

This infuriates me when artists immediately post things they're not supposed to. I get they're excited, but come on, follow the rules!

I saw that one yesterday. I was curious about the set (and signature).

I reached out to the seller. She/he has zero feedback but three of those from the same artist and set. I asked which set, as it was not '25 Chrome, and which artist.

They agreed it was not Chrome, but did not say which set, just that they just bought them from someone in Tulsa.

Ok...

We know the Cinema set was scheduled to release later this month. I can't recall offhand what the other announced sets were so far. I guess I'll start keeping track of the CMP numbers on the backs now.

How do you even request the license for something like this?

Since the Pope is a major world politician you don't need a license from him to publish his image, just the rights to photos taken of him. It's a free speech issue. I'm sure this isn't going to be showing him in a bad light, and if it were, a card set mocking the Pope would also be protected under US law.

Yeah, the no theme part opens up boundaries, but also means 90% of the cards will probably be of no interest to collectors.
