Looks like we have our cover athlete for Update. Wonder why we’re getting this so early when we have no info on releases coming sooner like Logofractor, & Bowman Chrome?

They announced the cover for Series 2 in March (Ohtani). So timeline seems to track about right. I wouldn't expect anything too far ahead of time on either of the other two releases you mentioned.

Can't believe we haven't seen anything about this product yet. Not even preorder. This is normally a mid-October release right? Production issues at Topps????

I think its scheduled to release at the end of next month. Nothing different than any other release in recent memory. We will most likely get the Topps presale in the next 2-3 weeks and then it will come out a few weeks after that. Seems to be par for the course. Flagship releases are easy to predict with content, and Update is the easiest of the 3. There really isn't any information needed ahead of time. The only question is price.

Yeah I pretty much know who will be in this product, I was more intrigued that we haven't seen a preorder yet. I've been back collecting for the last 3 years and Update is normally a second week of October release. Was surprised we haven't seen anything about the preorder as of now.

as someone with more Guzman then I'd care to admit, I'm surprised he's even in the majors. Also, he was brought up way too late for Update. He will be in 2026.

Agreed 100%!!! Update will be good but 2026 Series 1 will be right up there with 2024 Update and 2022 Update. This list that I created, I'm betting 90% will be in Series 1 with any remaining going to Series 2. Amazing!

The biggest problem Series 1 has with competing against Update is print run. Update has a much smaller print run and hits are much easier to find. With the continued bloat from Fanatics stretching these releases to be available everywhere it makes Series 1 incredibly hard to hit a parallel of anyone good. But that balances out with the increases demand for the new year, new product, and new rookie class. Both are great, in different ways, and hard to compare really.

None of these players will be in ‘25 Update. They all missed the cutoff. Guzman and Farris by a lot. Moore’s Topps Now cards have the “Call-Up” logo on them too.

The guys below should be among some others in Update. The guys you mentioned will be in 2026 Series 1 which should be really good! Chrome should be awesome as well! As long as the prices don't keep going up. Which they probably will.
