Hey, just waking up here. I got a gold vinyl pack. Just listed it for $10K. Is it possible someone will actually buy it???

I listed a Gold Parallel for 2K.

And finally a Red Pack which i cant believe i still never opened for 20k???

I need to see if this is true that there are sales at these levels and not some weird money laundering scheme between related parties.

The last couple Red Packs sold for $12.5k so anything over that is a win I suppose. Congratulations on having those packs

Thanks to Bob Ross and a few others here I logged back in and listed my red pack for 10K and it sold within minutes. Money was in the bank by mid week sans some chonky fees. They do make you fill out a W9 but is what it is. Congrats on the unknown money you forgot you had. It was a needed and welcomed surprise for me hope you list and it helps you as well. Sad that they have doubled since I listed but that's how it works.

i dont think this was about the pack challenge as the easy and cheapest way is to sell a card to yourself for say 100,000. that costs about 5K in fees. The pack prices went up significantly more than that if this was a short term pop

Yep, the spend challenge ended and pack prices arent effected one bit. If anything, prices are all up a bit. These prices might be here to stay.

I was digging around the web last night seeing if I could find anything about why these are moving so hard and came across a few potential reasons.

1. Saw someone mention panini is implementing the “ethereum bridge” which will allow movement of these NFTs across chains. (I don’t know anything about this).

2. NFT’s in general are racing, which helps lift the boat.(panini currently #6 most active)

3. Several of the whales are vaulting. (Previously mentioned by Bob in this thread)

4. In late July Panini released the “blockchain briefcase” at the National. A new offering clearly meant to get more people, especially card people, into the ecosystem.


I think the spend challenge wasn’t “the thing”, it was likely done because of the preceding reasons, not vise versa.

My thoughts are that this is being driven mostly by the crypto/NFT crowd, not the sports card collector crowd given that we here are mostly collectors but it doesn’t seem like any of us are buyers. (Daniel Jones NT 1/1 sold for $7000 due to its position on the chain)

I think I’m done selling for a bit. Just going to sit back and see where this goes until I get a better understanding of what is actually happening.
