I hit and sold the green Luka Kaboom 1/1 for $50k. I've been in the physical collectable space for years with nothing like the action I see in the digital space. It's wild to see where this is going.

57 and physical collector all my life... joined there 4 years ago and after a bunch of fits and stops looks like the train has left the station and gaining steam.. i have had many issues with the way panini has handled things, but they have improved and you are correct that the action is speeding up quickly now... congrats on the luka!!!

Lol, yeah it's crazy. I'm 40 and have been buying cards since I was 10. Digital was a foreign language to me until covid hit. The Panini app and website made it super easy easy to buy, sell, and collect and you dont have to understand tech or blockchain stuff at all. Just connect bank account and buy/sell. It's not hard to see how easy this is going to take off with new collectors now that a few big players are rolling in. Everyone is buying packs right now but there is insane value scooping up all the commons and building sets. Last I checked you can even get 22 different LeBrons for sub $10! There are less than 30k LeBrons on the blockchain and there are over 36k of his PSA GRADED 2019 Prizm cards in circulation. That's just that set and just that year. To me, it's just a rarity/numbers game and still VERY early.

I made a bunch of mistakes early, but the one I got right was Yamal... only 900 total on platform... think about for a minute.. this kid has the potential to be an icon if he stays the course and of course avoids injury... some of my epic RCs there are /25 or lower may be incredible moving forward.. it truly is rarity that fuels me over there.. if it ever is totally adopted, it will be out of control.. the ease of transactions and instant gratification of having your buy in your wallet just can't be beat... i still dabble a bit in physical, but so many frauds, and grading, and shipping.... and i can't stand fanatics in every way... lol..

Just can't see how the interest stays when there is no new sports products. If they weren't losing licenses I would be in but things are way too high to get in with the past years rookies and there is no new product, NBA is over in a month and Football shortly after. If they could even do unlicensed would be one thing but nothing to rip in the next 20 years means we have to rely on Fanatics to maybe carry the torch into digital.

I've received over 1000 offers in 48 hours. Is everyone on here just selling all of there commons for $1 each? Seems like 99%+ of the offers I have are for $1.

Is there any reason I wouldn't just sell all these base at $1? Is there something I'm missing? I know there's "burning" cards to get points but doesn't that just let you buy more "packs". Am I better off "burning" cards and then selling the packs? It's all so confusing and weird

Also, is there any reason to hold onto "rarer" cards like colorblasts, challenge cards, etc...? For those I'm getting higher offers but still nothing crazy high

You can burn 10, get a pack and then sell the pack for $13-$14. If you have the time, go for burning.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I've "burned" 190 commons, bought 19 packs, and sold 19 packs for $14/each. They almost sell immediately at $14 but strangely sit at $15, I guess that's the cut-off for good deal vs bad deal

Now I just need one of the high rollers to snag my 3 higher end packs

Some of these guys have a lot of cash to spend. Scottiej bought up a bunch of Rookie Royalty packs last night. Those and the Flawless are almost at $3K.

I was definitely surprised but glad they finally sold. I'd been slowly lowering the price until someone bit. It'll be interesting to see what I can get for the 1/1 pack with all this buying/shuffling of packs. I'm not sure what the end game is for all the whales but I'm glad they're in spending mode.
Crazy part is that as the challenge approaches the end I'm guessing things get even more weird but time will tell.
