2024 GPK Battle of the Bands - Green Day

Ok, I finally got a chance to break my 10 loose boxes. The pic shows the highlights. I didn't quite finish a base set or complete all of the inserts, which was a bummer.

Interestingly enough, I had two separate orders. A 6 box order, which was my first, then a 4 box order which I ordered much later. The 4 box order was much better than the 6 boxes, and had the same amount of hits, plus both of the American Idiot SPs.

Among the hits not in the pic were:

Crumpled Gold /50 (1): Walking the Dog (B-side insert)

Black /199 (13) Basket Casey, Pull the Flynn, Long Drew, Revolting Rosie, Mike Axe, Steal Lynn, Puking Paul x2, Nice Guy, Wood Stock, Octo Russ, Speeders Album Art, ONO! Album Art

Green foil /75 (6) Basket Casey, Grouchy Gary, Tooth Les, Moe Hawk, Busted Dustin (This card is #11/75 for those Stranger Things fans), 'Merican idjit Album Art

I'm still sitting on the case for now. I'll post my set needs shortly if anyone can help with those. I also have quite a few extras and am more than willing to help anyone else complete their set needs as well.

Amazing triple auto relic. However I must say it’s quite deflating when you have boxes to open yourself.

I see it now. Wow I like this one a lot. It's amazing that the seller doesn't even have Topps in the title.

So far my favorites are in this order:

Single Autos (GPK Character) - haven't seen a live Billie yet
Single Relic Autos
Triple Auto (GPK Character)

kinda wild 3 of the 7 biggest cards gone already whilst hardly any of the single autos have shown up. only 1 billie relic auto... only 1 of the /25 autos... mostly just Tre drums, Tre auto relics, and the huge 1/1s

gotta love it. this product definitely coming in waves.

I think there is yes.

Also I think for the triple autos:

For the base triple (pink border) there are

GPK character band triple auto /25
Normal band photo triple auto /5

Then the 1/1s of each.

So perhaps only 32 triple autos in the entire run?

Not sure how many triple relic triple autos there are. Only saw the 1/1.

Looks like the real Billie 1/1 and real triple 1/1 were sold. The GPK character versions of each should theoretically be out there...though I definitely prefer the real versions.

It'll eventually have its day!

Certainly a lame tactic by Topps/Fanatics to omit auto odds though. Pretty sure they intentionally did that to deceive prospective buyers into thinking auto odds were significantly better than they actually were. At least it came at a cheap cost and rips were still fun and decent value relative to other (primarily sports) Topps/Fanatics products.

I came up with 2,000 cases, but to be honest, math is not a strong suit of mine.

Based on the base foilfractor odds (1:3129), I get:

1564.5 cases
31290 boxes

My math below:

(3129 packs)*(100 base cards) = 312900 packs

10 packs per box => (312900/10) => 31290 boxes

20 boxes per case => (31290/20) => 1564.5

But if I use the Tribute to East Bay insert foilfractor odds, I get ~40k boxes and ~2k cases.

Number of boxes/cases are in line with what I thought they would be.

However, auto hit rates are significantly lower than expected (didn't expect 1 per case but also didn't expect 1 per 13 cases; assumed 1 per 2-4 cases). Those odds suck.

Loved the idea of this set and picked up 2 boxes. Would love to complete a base set, hit 50/100, no dupes. Willing to trade inserts for base (not doing insert sets). Here are the big cards. Can’t believe I hit a relic from only 2 boxes! One blue /99, 2 black /199. (One album art), black foil /10, crumpled foil (unnumbered)
