I forgot how much I love Elements too, something about those metallic cards I just like. Wish they still made them

Perhaps a boring answer, but I like Optic the best. Prizm is great too, but Optic has had the better look the past few years. Unparalleled was cool for lesser-known players and specialists. Wish we would've had it longer.

Optic has nice clean cards that tend to grade well. Also they have some nice parallels

None really....
Wax is all overpriced, the product designs are too repetitive, and there's not enough retired player content. First product I'll be excited about is the first retro product Topps releases in 2026.... |

I would guess that both Basketball and Football with have an Archive or Heritage type sets. Football had one archives set in 2013 and small heritage in 2015. I liked both of them. I wouldn't be surprised to see 70th anniversary inserts in regular topps.

It would be amazing if Topps ushered in their new slate of football releases with Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary Football w/ a buyback redemption program for Rookie of the Year, MVP, OPOY, DPOY
Not holding my breath though |

I would love to see Topps make some sort of throwback set, even if it's an insert set, that utilizes the year's baseball flagship design to make rookie cards that should have been for players that have been drafted since Panini got the exclusive. So a Justin Jefferson "rookie" using the 2020 Topps baseball design, for example.

Back when I could afford heavier dabbling, I did a lot of Donruss (the Panini years) and Optic (2017-18) -- and then Chronicles because the variety is there. Those are probably what most here will call modern. Before that, early 2000s Donruss Classics always seemed to get my attention along with Topps Heritage and flagship. (No specific years as I'm a college/player collector who would open packs.) For singles, I like Spectra, NT and some Immaculate/Flawless.
In the less recent years, Pro Set was king of the ripping favorites (1989-1990). In terms of just favorites there is a lot of like in 1986-88 Topps NFL and 1989/1990 Pro Set. (Obviously not talking $ ... just good cards.)

I'm not sure they will even go retro based on a lot of the trends in other sports lately. It's all-Chrome all the time for most part. Not solely, but close.

Not sure if they have for London. They don’t for Penix.
Edit: Now you guys have me going down the obsidian rabbit hole. Now I want a red Bijan and London.

Seller must be on that good good stuff

Casual collector here. I like Panini Prizm and Donruss Optic. Mosaic comes in at a distant third. It's very hit or miss for me. I like my quarterbacks in Mosaic very much. But overall the design is too overdone and feels gimmicky.
Wish I could find sealed product in stores to open the occasional mega box. I only order singles anymore. |

As far as the topic goes, I will go Luminance. I have a hard time getting my hands on as much base as I'd like, but they have great photography throughout. Reminds me of the old Topps Prime and also the old Upper Deck base set. |
