Default Did any of you buy this 1999 Topps Nolan ryan Autograph Card????

It sold on the 7th and somehow I missed the listing. Been looking for it ever since I stupidly sold it, my best pull ever as a kid, in college. I’m willing to make it worth your while to resell to me!

Thanks

Going to be hit or miss as only a fraction of collectors post here. Assuming it was on eBay, I would try messaging the seller with your offer and info and ask them if they are willing to pass it along to the buyer. Maybe the buyer will be interested, maybe not, but it can't hurt to try this method.

Recommend just requesting the seller let the buyer know you're interested, and that if the buyer contacts you and it leads to a sale, they'll get a finder's fee. No reason to discuss your offer with the former owner.

Is that a reprint or buy back?

Coincidentally I have been looking for Ryan auto in an Astros uni. Nice card.

It’s a reprint. 1999 Topps had insert reprint autos of his entire run from 1968 on. I pulled the 84 out of 3 packs when I was 10

I don't think I've ever actually seen one with the "Certified Issue" stamp. It seems the only ones I ever see are people trying to pass off in-person autos as the pack-pulled issues.

All of the 1999 Ryan reprint autos have the certified stamp on them.

Yes, I'm aware of that. What I'm saying, is that they seem so rare, that when I search for them, I seem to only run across examples that are not legit issues with the stamp on the front.

Got it, it was a little confusing how you worded it. They are starting to dry up. I used to have the entire run. I think now I only have the 68,69,71, and 80.

This is what makes the hobby great: a collector searching for a card he loves for years, and it eventually finds its way to his collection. Congrats!

I never used to be a fan or reprints but I am coming around on them.

Cool to see old cards in mint condition.

He signs TTM for $75 per card. Buy one and send it to him?

I actually thought about doing this to replace this card, but I decided it just wasn’t the same
