This is one of the cleanest examples I've seen of this card, edges and corners-wise, simply gorgeous. Never made the Vegas MGM connection but these have always appealed to me for everything you pointed out in addition to the holofoil that UD does so well. How does the surface look on this one? From the few I've come across, these in particular seem to be prone to scratches and divots...

That's a beautiful card prone to scratches, well done!

This is a lovely project, one I hope to complete someday as well. Great stuff.

Thank you! The front is dent-free. The back has 2 distinct scratches, but it's a great filler card for now.

Newest pickup. Hard to beat this image for a bonds card and I still think 9/10 90s chrome refractors are undervalued

That's a nice one! 97s are hard to find with good centering, and yours looks great.

Thanks! This has been on my want list for awhile, but the budget this year had to comply.

They don’t come up often. 1998 Donruss Collections isn’t as widely-known as it should be.

It's so hard to capture the beauty of the Prized Collections, but they are gorgeous in hand.

It sucks that Barry didn't get into the Hall of Fame, but we can still collect his cards and remember how great of a player he was:

Not a high-valued card, but a unique one -- Bonds' 2025 Topps Living Set card autographed by the artist, Angel Aviles:

Here's a Topps profile on Aviles after he and Jared Kelley were hired to replace Mayumi Seto: https://ripped.topps.com/angel-avile...lb-living-set/

Aviles did a good of capturing the mid-90s era of Bonds in his artwork. Bonds was well-known for his Christian cross earring and custom-made wrist sweatbands with his image. Aviles used a mix of ink, maker and pencil to make the photo-realistic art: https://www.angelsaviles.com/large-m...rry-bonds.html

Aviles also did the artwork for Ohtani's Dodgers Living card, which looks fantastic. You can check out all of his Topps Living Set artwork here: https://www.angelsaviles.com/thumbna...?mgd_id=296079

Default The Barry Bonds Collectors Thread

Recently got this one in. Guy didn't even have it listed as a rubies. Think I got a good deal.

I’m amazed at that listing and that you ended up with the card. You saved $500 that I wouldn’t have saved lol. Good job

He knew enough to mark it $4000 but not enough to list PSA or #d to 50, or rubies or anything like that
