I think fanatics has kind of crossed a line I haven't seen before

It isn't a manufacturers job to give an opinion on the secondary market. It is clear they aren't smart enough to produce their own content and have to rag on sellers for attention.

When asked during Monday’s interview about what type of return he expects from the card, the 71-year-old O’Leary said he doesn’t expect the card to hit the market again in his lifetime. He said it will be part of an index that he’ll grow along with Allen and Warshaw. O’Leary said he sees the card as an asset similar to Bitcoin, gold, art or watches.

However, there’s one caveat.

“I don’t see it any differently than any of those other asset classes. However, it’s a lot more fun,” O’Leary said. “The people I’m meeting in the hobby are truly crazy.

So the federally indicted drug criminal Matthew Traun Allen (Shyne) and Kevin O'Leary found a new card to manipulate the market with?

Congrats guys!

By being an incredible business man. A practice that is baffling to some blowout posters. Everyone doesn't sit around and complain about things all day on message boards. Some people use their time and brains to make money. I love Shark Tank and I used to hate "Mr. Wonderful". I thought he was a blowhard and was my least favorite shark. Now, after years on the show, he has shown many times over to be the smartest one there IMO.

The drug trafficker and 9 year jail recipient Shyne is well known to be a scam artist so we won't touch on that any more, so let's take a look into Mr. O'Leary:

- crashed boat that killed someone, blamed wife, acquitted
- believes that the 85 richest people having the same wealth as the 3.5 billion poorest people is “fantastic news” and “a great thing”

we have to keep things straight though, his wife WAS piloting the boat. You can easily find camera footage of her being the main person controlling the boat and was not found guilty of careless operations of a vessel. So its a bad mark against him or he's guilty by association of an accident?

I think his name is Matthew Allen, not Michael Allen.

He got rich off selling Mattel a steaming pile of poop for $4.2 billion in 1999

A deal that is considered one of the most disastrous corporate acquisitions in history leading to significant losses for Mattel and a subsequent lawsuit against O'Leary and others

Lets keep things straight and not just idolize and glaze rich people

Being rich/wealthy does not make you a good human being. I'm sure there are a few good apples in the barrel, but most of these people probably took advantage of a situation, betrayed a partner, exploited people, covered something up, or did something else underhanded. In capitalism, that's what gets you ahead most of the time.

I also get Premium's point though. O'Leary has made a lot of money in his career. Good for him. But how do you define "incredible business man?" Does that just mean made a ton of money? Does it include being an ethical person in your business dealings? To some, they go together. To others, they can be mutually exclusive.

Blowout's CFO secretly praying this headline'll prompt institutional $ to clear out their remaining 2017 black friday inventory of Justin Beiber Series 2 Hobby.

Well it took 24 hours for the sale of that card to go from pretty cool to just another ploy by some rich #@#@#@#@#@#@#@s. Buying the card as essentially a marketing tool to promote some business venture. I liked this as a hobby a lot more than I like it as an industry.

The great thing about following rich scum is that we don't have to. I'd be lying if I said I don't think about having great wealth from time to time, but I don't envy these people one bit.

At the end of the day it's a piece of cardboard with a picture. I'd love to have it to be sure, but you can't take it with you in the end.

So many naive people going to get burnt holding the bag on the recent pump!

Curry TC ref selling for 20k for the past 2 yrs consistently then suddenly sells for 70k
MJ Topps aspirations selling for 5k suddenly selling for 56k
Kobe patch autos selling for 15k suddenly hitting 6 figures

Same guys selling, new FOMO getting duped.

Smart people are selling right now

If you look on IG you'll see the big 90's "I'll never sell" guy pumping a lot of stuff that he sent to consignment

At this point it's not a hobby anymore, sports cards are the next meme "stock"
