Default Question re: older NT products

Not very familiar with older products so sorry if this is a silly question. Regarding the likes of the below card as an example:

The back doesnt mention game/player/event worn. It just says "The enclosed materials is guaranteed by Panini".

Is this the equivalent of today's "authentic memorabilia not from any specific game or event"....? I know some of the other cards from the same product say "event worn" for example.

Thanks for any insight. Always learning.

I'm no expert but I don't think the Pro Bowl stuff is game worn. I'm sure there is some set out there that says game worn probowl jersey but most from Topps/Panini just say event worn Pro Bowl jersey. Probowls have media days the day prior to the game and players receive multiple jerseys to wear. It is probably from one of those jerseys worn the day before.

Back during the first few years, it would clarify if game used or not:

Really sweet card. Good luck with the purchase.

Sorry but your Q is way too vague to give an accurate answer.

That looks like the infamous Black Rose wooden box in the background so that card is unattainable anyways.

In regard to the question, the verbiage used by Panini to describe the memorabilia is purposely vague, so I would say there's a 99.99% likelihood it was NOT Game Used/Game Worn in a Pro Bowl. If it was, then they would have said Event-Worn, or something similar.

"The enclosed material is guaranteed by Panini" is just them saying, yep, it's an NFL jersey, it could be Zach Miller's, it could be Kyle Boller's.

To me, that vague statement doesn't mean squat.

There are cards in 2011 nt that specifically state "game worn/used" so I would assume that this is "player worn" given the vague description.

I was going to say - I'm almost certain that even in 2011, the manufacturer would specify "Game Used" as compared to "authentic" or "player worn" when it was a game used patch.

I think it's a safe assumption that unless game used or game worn appears somewhere on any card, it wasn't.

DLP (Donruss Leaf Playoff at the time) had access to the media day jerseys worn by most players during the Pro Bowl. And that is typically what you saw in these cards. They players themselves had the option to keep their jerseys from the game, and most of them did just that.

A step above "Player Worn" IE, put on and taken off just to say they touched it stuff that came shortly after.

In some sets back then, they were referred to as "Pro Bowl Events". Be it appearances, passing drills or some made for TV events like challenges.

Like Mario Williams here. He went through all the events, but he did not play in the actual game due to a groin injury. Which is why DLP didnt show a picture of him during the game, like others in this set.

But most likely cut up a jersey, like the one he wore here that year.

The humorous thing is that during the pandemic his prices "almost" seemed normal.
