Like you, I had a similar view of her when she entered the music scene back in 2006ish. Then I heard Ryan Adams, an americana singer-songwriter, cover her entire 1989 record and I couldn't stop listening to it. Showed me that she's basically Bruce Springsteen wrapped in pop production. A great songwriter and songsmith. I've been on board ever since.

Hate on her music style, sure, but there's no denying she's a beast of a songwriter.

Well, considering one is a widely popular seasonal hobby and the other is the sole source of income, I'm not sure. Probably still close though.

Congrats on the jogging!

Do yourself a favor and go on the YouTube channel of Paul Beato and learn about how Taylor Swift's music is actually written

You mean Rick Beato? I'm a subscriber. Which video? I'm only aware of him not enjoying "I can do it with a broken heart" which is also not a favorite of mine.

Yes, Rick Beato -- sorry. Here's a video I watched -- he got triggered by the New York Times claiming Swift was bigger than The Beatles: https://youtu.be/DxrwjJHXPlQ?si=iAOHcuEau7SyebfO

People in 2085 will not be listening to Taylor Swift the way people today listen to the Beatles.

My kids barely know who the Beatles are (I don't think they could name a single song, and they range from 7 to 24). They will absolutely be listening and reminiscing to T Swizzle in their 60s.

I listen to all kinds of bands big and small from the 70s. Love me some 70s rock. That was 50 years ago. I’ll be listening to this when I’m old in like 30 years making the songs 80 years old. So yes Taylor Swift will be listened to in 2085. Same with my favorite 1970s music. Hope this helps.

I’ll take that bet

The Beatles also suck but that’s a different thread

Taylor Swift, Bhad Bhabie, and Snoop Dog will be considered classical music by then. Idiocracy

I guarantee you that your 24 year old knows some Beatles songs even if he/she doesn't realize it.
