I recently got this card in a lot and was wondering where it came from.
The set has 4 different types of Leather inserts, but none listed mentions the Super Bowl stamp. Does anyone know anything about this stamped version? |

That was all the rage 25 years ago. Companies would hot foil stamp, or even just crimp base cards to give away at events and conventions.
Yours was probably from the Super Bowl Experience back in 1999. Or maybe even the fan experience that season, ahead of the Pro Bowl. Or possibly even from one of the National Conventions. More so a novelty, and not an actual chase/insert card. They used to just give these away in bags at those events, with magazines, top loaders and other giveaways. Sometimes they came with VIP perks. Or pack promos, where you had to open something at their booth and they gave you one. I remember Pacific had a promo back then at a show, where you could bring your own Pacific card and they would crimp it on the spot. Just an example. |

If this is a fan experience thing or a show giveaway, I'm sure there's a Steve Young out there probably sitting in a dollar box. Good luck! |
