In late 1982, Marvel published a deluxe comic book on the life of Pope John Paul II. I remember seeing it on the rack at Safeway, right next to Spider-Man.
A really sharp copy can sell for $300. Here's a nearly, uh, infallible one, according to the description:

They also did comics like this for Mother Teresa and Saint Francis around the same time.
A 9.8 of Mother Teresa goes for $200, but you know she'd just donate that to charity.

Yeah currently preselling at around $25. Will definitely come down once people start getting it in hand. Not too surprising for unique cards like this - I remember that raccoon MLS topps now card from last year was preselling for around $35 before it dropped to around $10 once people actually got theirs.

Only time I got lucky buying a Topps Now card like this was with the Bee Guy card from last year, after presale ended they were going for $15-25 each.

The Pope superfractor has been (re)graded by PSA and is now sitting in a Gem Mint 10 holder after receiving the holy bump.

Previously, the card was in a CGC Mint 9 holder.

The card sold for $16k at the end of June. Curious to see what it fetches now if it goes back to auction.
