$33 million a year AAV in 2025 is absolutely nothing for an elite shortstop

He's not elite, he's not even good this year.

As a Cubs fan i'm disappointed they didn't land a SP.
Ryan was only "available" SP that should have got a haul and who knows if they tried and what they offered.
Taillon on his way back, Move Brown to the pen I think is the best way to go down the stretch.

James Tibbs III went from the Giants to the Red Sox in the Devers trade, and is now headed to the Dodgers as part of a deal for Dustin May.

Interesting journey from one side of a rivalry to the other.....

The White Sox sent their best pitcher to the Rays, not very happy with that trade.

Seattle has pulled off some nice trades the last 2 years. I think they got the top 2 bats moved at the deadline and didn't even have to give you any of their top 10 prospects.

Well to start off his post season he faced 8 batters with 8 K's (MLB post season record fwiw) while sitting 102-105. So basically just had best start to post season of any pitcher in history of the game. will go down as underpay of the century once hes a starter

Not to mention his last 20 outings is like, 25 innings, 4 singles 0 runs and 50 k's. Fun to watch after everonye shitting on me for my mason miller takes for last year

Let’s assume that your takes were/are right - what would you pay for a gem /5 RC of the best pitcher in the history of regular and postseason baseball?
