How can we scam customers with this... I know! Call it a "tool" and a "feature!"

I have never met a collector who I think would be into this. Are there collectors out there who are like, I want random cards, but I don't want to shop for them myself including price comparing and examining condition. Not to mention mislabels. I really think I must be missing something obvious because this makes absolutely no sense to me. When would someone use this? Is the buying experience like buying a repack?

It's dumb, but maybe it's to appeal to the morons bidding $14 for base cards on eBay live auctions.

It would be a great feature if you could pick a player/team/sport for a given price or price range, and have the cards added to the cart so you could delete the ones you don't want before buying.

I should’ve read more about it, but thought there were going to be more prompts and filters. Dusted the $99 option pretty bad, they bought me a DL Hall Bowman Blue Wave Auto for $75 which are all over eBay for $20 obo. My mistake on lighting $100 on fire.

Spent another $1. It took about 10 tries to finally get cards chosen.

Why is s/h 45 cents on one of the cards?

It is 25 cents for all of the other same cards.

Premium stock: may be much wider than normal cards and considered Oversized? Or maybe the copy you ended up with was processed as Elite at one point?

I think they are standard size. All of the other ones are 25 cents s/h. It hasn't been scanned as Elite.

Well, whoever processed this copy probably considered it oversized. I bet if you submit a correction request, they'll knock it down to a quarter.

They should be working very hard right now on virtual repacking. They are positioned extremely well to do this.

They have been making this mistake more frequently. A couple people brought it up before. It is not common but I have seen it more and more.

They made me sign a new user agreement, as far as I can tell it just adds stuff about the Agent and AI use.

It's great COMC has been working on this new ..."feature"... meanwhile the site barely functions.

Just seems like a waste of resources while the website burns down.

I tried the feature with a very small amount of money ($1, big spender, lol) for modern baseball, filtered to cards that I did not have yet and was not impressed either. I got a halfway decent Kershaw parallel that I still would not have bought on my own, but everything else was low end/out of baseball bowman prospect base cards that were not even close to being the lowest priced individual card, spending nine to twelve cents when the lowest prices ones were five or six cents.

I thought that there would be at least a little more flexibility. Until they allow for the narrowing down of features or the exclusion of certain card sets or players, it is essentially like an online version of buying a mystery box repack from an unknown seller. Seems pretty random too, I am waiting to hear about the first instance when someone gets stuck with a full priced Spinberry card. Anyone with even a small amount of experience using COMC could do better on their own.

What it might do is help clear out some stale inventory for the long time users and resellers here, so it isn't all negative.

Currently getting "You have none for sale." on a bunch of items I have multiples of when I clearly do have at least one for sale.

Nope, what happens when you do this is they email you a lecture-y response about how the correction request tool was not meant for this.

A few months back they uploaded a few hundred of my cards (95% standard sized) with the $0.45/card S&H charge. I had to email them and they had to manually adjust all of the cards to the proper $0.25/card charge. The sellers with the $0.45/fee probably haven’t noticed but they’ll likely need to reach out to COMC.

From the sound of things the bot looks for cards under comc SRP? If it clears that threshold it buys it?
Thats a whole lot of risk in doing this. I can’t imagine how many cards say “SRP $5” which are worth less than a $1.

Looks like COMC's running roughly 2 weeks behind on statusing submissions; that doesn't include however long it takes to process the submission either.

I also reached out today about delayed submissions and got a quick response.

"...our receiving and processing team are currently behind logging the submissions in due to our recent shows and promotions.
Our team is working diligently to get submissions entered as quickly as possible. We would expect your submission to be entered into our system soon.
We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while awaiting your submission to be logged."

I'm wondering who are the buyers COMC are really going for with the COMC agent feature???

Sure!!! not me. I can find cards that I want better than their AI as looking at their settings.

Honestly it's made for no one. But at least they can say they use AI agents now.

Management: How can we make more money?

Intern: Let's sell random overpriced cards. Also, let's make the buyer watch a generic 30-second animation for the sake of it.

EDIT: They just changed the 30-second animation to about a 5-second animation
