Astros don't have the prospects alone to swing the Correa deal. There must be some big league players (or lots of cash) going to the Twins.

A 2 month rental for Mullins couldn't have required a lot. He's not exactly good.

Oh no, the Twins will be sending cash with Correa. That's the genius of this ownership, sign a big contract, slash payroll so it restricts the rest of the team, wait until that player performs bad enough that nobody wants the contract, pay another team to take it

Should have called up the Reds. Nick Krall would have likely given up a couple Top 10 prospects and taken on Correa's full underwater contract.

I've read only one prospect is headed to the Twins, so it's a salary dump.

Correa was pretty great when healthy last year. I'm guessing many, the Twins included, think that he won't return to that level of production. If he does, it's a solid deal for the Astros. If not, that's a lot of salary for a weak-hitting, oft-injured player on the wrong side of 30.

The Yankees are trading infielder Oswald Peraza to the Angels, reports Jack Curry of the YES Network. Joel Sherman of the New York Post adds that the Yankees will receive outfield prospect Wilberson De Pena in return, as well as international bonus pool money.
