Default Value of expired Lindros auto stick redemption?

I dug up a redemption (numbered 01/15) for an Eric Lindros Locker Room Autograph Redemption Card for an "Authentic Signed Stick". The card is from Donruss and is orange on the front, and plain white on the back. Oh, and it's dated 1998....lol

I'm not sure how this never got redeemed, but what's done is done I suppose.

Is there any kind of market for something like this to a Lindros collector?

It's from '98 but you will prob have to '86 it. Probably worthless.

I would think so, just put it on and see what you get.

I'll give you $5 for it.

The redemption doesn't actually show Lindros, but it is Orange and White ala the Flyer uniforms. Thanks for the offers, but I'm not looking to sell for short money. I honestly wondered if, because of its scarcity, it could fetch a premium from a serious Lindros collector. Guess not.

Maybe I will call Panini though to see what their reaction is. I've got nothing to lose really.

How about this for a bump....13 years later....lol. I completely forgot I had this but recently moved and there is was. I realize the feeling when I posted about it previously was it had basically zero value, but in today's new world of collecting, maybe it might, or is it still the same worthless card? Also, since I first posted Panini has stopped making hockey cards, so the idea of sending it in and seeing what I get is now not an option. I mean, I know Lindros has a lot of fans and his stuff sells well, but as noted it is just a piece of cardboard, albeit a very rare one, that does not even depict him. Thoughts?

No big value as the card can no longer be made. Someone with an actual copy of the redeemed card might also want the redemption card to go along with it as a sidepiece, but probably not very likely. Or some super collector might want it as-is. But big value? I wouldn't think so. If it is one of those thin cardboard ones with the sticker and description and nothing else to it, I'd say zero value.

A bit of the reverse of this: eons ago, I pulled a /100 expired redemption from an old pack and then, years later, I picked up one of the redeemed copies, simply to make that feeling that I missed out on the card go away. And so I then had both. Only 63 copies of card actually got redeemed. These were BAP redemptions which looked like actual cards with gloss, foil embossing and hand-numbering. Normally those redemption cards were kept by the manufacturer, I think, so that's what made it neat to me - you're not supposed to have both.

I also did this with the 1993/94 Alexandre Daigle Score Redemption card, where I got both the SP card and the redemption for it. The redemption cards were a buck or less, so why not?

This will sound crazy but I would contact Panini to see if they would give you something else for it (assuming they don't have that card) and I say that because I have been building the Private Signings set they did from 2010-2012 over the last 3 years or so and have obtained quite a few on eBay that clearly just came from Panini as they still have the customer service sticker on the toploader. They also sent replacement cards for the Cam Fowler contenders that I was waiting on for over 10 years within the last year or two. So while they don't make hockey currently, as recently as that they still had some hockey cards in their inventory. The worst they can say about it is no, so I would reach out to them.

Good advice for sure. I called them twice, just to see if I'd get the same answer from different people and both said they do not make hockey anymore and if I mailed it they could see about getting me something of value. But this gives me some hope that if I did send it I might get a card or two that might even be hockey. Thanks.

Make sure to convert the $1.30 to today's currency.

[it's $10.35 in case you're wondering]
