I've seen people post about upcharges but from the amount of people saying they are in QA for weeks makes it pretty clear they are backed up severely.

its unfortunate to have to wait this long..especially when the message says just reviewing cards a 2nd time before finalized. not surprised though. had my last order go quick and now im getting the other end of it

Have one in QA2 for 14 days. Cards popped a week ago according to the pop, but no movement on the sub front

Yeah. usually mine sit in Assembly with a green check for a while or QA for awhile, but usually go through Grading pretty fast. Not this time.

They're probably getting stuck in QA because they're fixing screw ups/damaged slabs

I have the same sort of order, but just one card. Yours was 'received' super quick. My estimated completion date was 7/23. It's wild how orders can differ. Best of luck!

Quick question on submissions, are TCG submissions taking as long as sports submissions? I have a TCG submission ready to go, but deciding if I should send it myself to PSA or take it to Gamestop.

My TCG bulk sub 50-ish cards took about 3 months and this looks pretty standard timeframe for TCG and Sports bulk from what I've read in this thread this year. A few outliers like a month or two but mostly 3 months.

GameStop TCG orders look like they are moving through in roughly half the time.

But there are tradeoffs to GameStop subs too. More hands on your cards with GameStop

PSA just did me dirty on a superfractor. No idea how it got a PSA 8. I’ll have to inspect again when I get it back. Would PSA deny a crack out and submit to just be authentic? Or even try to submit again? lol. A part of me wishes I did express instead of regular just to see the damn grader notes.

If the card has already been graded with a number grade (i.e. 8) and you just want AUTHENTIC instead of a numeric grade, you can send it in for a REHOLDER and specify in the notes "Remove Card Grade, AUTHENTIC Only".
If it has an auto and you want only the auto grade, you can state: "Remove Card Grade, Auto Grade Only" for a reholder submission.

Will PSA mess this up? Probably. But that's quicker/cheaper option, and there's no need to re-grade a card that already has a numeric grade if you want it just "authentic". The card has already been authenticated when it got a number grade.

Or you crack the PSA 8, as a new order completely and it could come back a PSA 10. It's PSA, they use a dart board to grade it anyway.

I don't believe PSA will regrade or reholder a 1/1.

Shouldn't be a problem, especially if you just want to change the card grade from PSA 8 to AUTHENTIC. Re-grade? I've personally never done that with a 1/1.

I know that people think with PSA that you can't re-grade serial numbered cards, (as if PSA refers to their database and serial numbered cards will always get the same grade,) but I can confirm that claim is totally false. I've done it many times with serial numbered cards, sometimes with higher grades, but I've never re-graded a 1/1, just for the record. I don't see why they wouldn't do the re-holder from PSA 8 to AUTHENTIC, because a numbered grade is also confirming it's authentic.

You can absolutely crack and resub serial numbered cards, but not 1/1s based on everything I have heard and read.

Yup I’ve seen several posts on Reddit about new slabs coming back with that same stupid flow line issue they had when introducing their “upgraded” holders. Boggles my mind that over a year and a half later it’s still happening. They also never offered their free reholder program for affected slabs. I have a few small orders in with PSA currently. If I see them come back with this issue again, I’m raising hell

Good to know! I wasn't aware of this. Thanks, man!

Back when you could use the HTML code to see grades early. I had a super fractor that was a 9 get sent to me as an 8 and a skuff on the back from grading. I looked at the card for hours by at every which way could be ... the 9 was a suprise ...when I saw the 8 I knew what happened they damaged the card found it cracked it out and gave it an 8. killed me, still my saddest grading experiance.
