If they can have the player sign a sticker the size of a card.....why not just have them sign the freaking card!

Because they can sign a million stickers once 10 years ahead of time and figure out the cards later. And because they suck.

Engineered obsolescence comes to cards. When the giant sticker peels off, you will have to buy a new one to replace it. You will long for the small stickers that don't get messed up on the edges, starting the eventual peel.

They can't get the stickers they currently use straight on cards, what makes them think they'll be able to get these on cleanly.

Sounds like it is oversized and then the whole card is cut down to size as one.
