Adderall is illegal without a prescription so using it as an example because half the local high school is on it is ridiculous. The MLB policy on Adderall is the same as US law. Legal with a prescription, illegal otherwise.

Using Adderall as an example of a 'so-called PED' that might be legal in the future is irrelevant because it is already allowed by MLB so long as you have a prescription and file the required waiver request.

Obviously, it's highly unlikely that Bonds had anything at all to do with this, but when he was hired, I remember thinking, great, when the Marlins break spring training, Dee will be sporting 75 extra pounds of muscle and Giancarlo would be completely unable to move.

Bummer for Bonds given his proximity to the team in that Dee's absence for the next 3 months' worth of games will be a daily reminder of the one thing that Barry would rather people would forget about him.

New system for caught cheaters:

Strike one: No punishment in terms of missing games, but you make a video confession (kept private the MLB archives) in which you admit what you did, who you got it from, and anyone you did it with. And you promise not to do it again.

Strike two: You lose the remainder of the current season (and any postseason) and make the same video as above, but this time, the video is released to the public so wags can digitally add a big, bushy Palmeiro mustache to you for sport. And you promise not to do it again.

Strike three: Banned for life, hawking your autograph next to Pete Rose at a local truck stop. Shouldn't have broken two promises.

Dang, I always thought he seemed like a nice honest kid. Guess nobody knows him as good as they thought. Shame, why would you do that after you know how bad it taints your whole career and everything you ever did has that shadow of doubt "well if he wasn't on roids he would have never beat that record"...shame. R.I.P. Dee Gordon's career for a long, long time. Not many have returned to favorable status after being found out a cheater, but it can happen.

If true, that's damning. I loved Dee Brown. The leadoff HR he hit after Jose Fernandez died is one of my favorite baseball memories. I don't see any benefit for him to lie about it. And nothing shocks me anymore.
