Default 2012-13 Panini Elite Series Set

Hi all. Recently completed this set after a few years. What I enjoyed about this set was:

1. Large checklist - 275 cards
2. Scarcity - Vets numbered to 275 and Rookies to 249
3. Simple but elegant design
4. Thoughtful write-ups and different pictures on card backs

Also the cards were fairly condition sensitive, with its foil card stock. It is very easy to see any dinged corners, chipped edges or other blemishes.

Here are a few notable cards:

The entire set is here:

Thanks for the look.

Impressive! 2012 Panini sure is a lot different than 2025 Panini.

Great accomplishment! We all know card 184 is a bit more popular than the rest though, yes?

Fantastic effort! It's interesting the way these are numbered - it's like they thought about keeping teams together, and then just decided to not.

This was/is a great set! I am lucky it was produced during the Panini glory years of when Ersan was in nearly every product they pumped out.

BTW, I discovered a JJ (and Ersan) that I don't believe you have that I didn't know existed until a few weeks back

They did it in reverse alphabetical order by "city/state" name. The players that appear to be out of order were on that particular team the season or possibly earlier that same season and ended up being traded after the checklist had already been established.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. The LeBron was the last card - had a hard time justifying paying $100+ for a base card.

Congrats on the set completion, 275 is an impressive set to put together! It’s always tough when you have to over pay for the last card. You did a great job summarizing everything that’s great about the set. Simple yet elegant is very on point. I also love that it’s numbered. Makes it feel a little more meaningful.

Very underrated set. Arguably the nicest looking base cards of the 2010’s era in my opinion.
