Default 2025 Topps Chrome WWE x Cactus Jack

This product deserves its own thread IMO. What is known so far -

20 Packs per box
4 cards per pack
All autos signed on card

Pre-Order is July 18th. No word yet on pricing or if it’ll be EQL or normal pre-sale

The prices of the Mania Cactus Jack were ridiculous before and even more ridiculous now. This is just the Fanatics marketing machine hard at work and some WWE collectors just slurping it up.

Mania was $400 ish that doubled.

What was the original pricing of the Chrome Boxes on the Hobby site before they ballooned?

I could see this initially being $350 before selling out and doubling.

I agree with this.
I think this is 300-400 from Topps next week during pre-sale.

Really will depend on if there are guaranteed autos or not too

I think how popular this is will also depend on if the new folks are all in here (which i suspect most will be) - Stephanie, Giulia, Penta, Ricky Saints, Fenix. They aren't advertised, but they should be in here. If they could pull TNA Joe Hendry, then this will sell out quick.

Via the EQL, the Chrome boxes were in the 150ish range I believe...

I got 4 boxes and I know my order ended up being somewhere between 600-700 with taxes and shipping.

I was thinking that was a fever dream when I heard $150. Easily the best product Topps put out this year and for the folks that got in at that price...big fomo.

It looks like this set will be out for the National. So at least that will give the high end people something to chase. To be honest, it is great when a new product debut at the National. Unfortunately in this case, I won't be able to scoop up the extras and undesirables (base, base inserts) because well there won't be any in this set

How much of this set is different than the ones offered at Wrestlemania this year? If they aren't different then I will assume that the people who bought them then and held on to them are pretty bothered right now.

Wrestlemania Cactus Jack was 2 packs with 8 cards total, this is 20 packs 80 cards total, the base should be quite reasonable to pick up.

100 card base set.
Going to be EQL instead of a normal pre-order.
Changed to July 14th from 12-1pm EST

I will wait to see if they guarantee 1-2 Auto's per box. If this is something that has a 'no guaranteed auto', then no dice.

Agreed on this
I imagine the auto checklist will be much larger than the Wrestlemania one, and we have seen unnumbered autos being signed by different wrestlers.

It really needs to be a 2 autos per box product IMO

Remember when Topps did Ben Baller chrome partnership product with baseball? Those were red hot on release, then fizzled out. I'm thrilled to have a new WWE product but I can't see these having any staying power in a year or so.

The 100 base set gives me hope that the autos will be premiere and avoid some of that NXT clutter. If they have at least 1 guarantee per box and the boxes are in the $200-$375 range, this could be a hit.

Every release, except Sapphire, has garnered great buzz. To be fair, Sapphire could have been something if they actually included the superstars in the signers.

Thinking with OK collation, you're gonna need 2-3 boxes to put a base set together, right?

20 packs, 4 cards, prolly 1 of those being some sort of insert. 60 base a box, 100 for the base set...

No luck yet

I see what you’re saying, and the same applies to the Steve Aoiki stuff in soccer, but Travis at least has a more direct connection to the product itself (featured on shows, song is the main theme on Raw, merch collabs, etc) vs the others which really were slapped together. Not to mention whether you’re a fan of him or not, he’s made his mark in music to the point now where it has a bit more staying power.

Also at the very least, the Cactus Jack branding can last on its own if/when Travis’ star fades thanks to Foley lol

Is it still happening today?
It’s not on Topps site yet. Still no checklist or odds posted as well

Can't find a sign up link anywhere yet. No email either. Has a price been listed anywhere yet?

On twitter they put up their “releases this week” post and Cactus Jack isn’t on it

I think they are pushing it back to release on Wednesday or Friday of National at the end of the month
That way tons of it gets opened there and I bet they have a wrestling specific pack/box redemption at their booth.

I agree, also the page itself says "coming soon". You would think it would have today's date and time by now

When the page first went live it said July 14th at 12:00pm

Their initial post on (I think) IG said July 18th

So it’s all up in the air until we hear anything official from Topps I guess.

I think a national week release makes sense though. Last year they had MLB Star Wars and F1 box redemption packs they gave out. Only makes sense to add WWE, and if it releases that week all the dealers will have plenty of stock.

If that IS the plan a slight delay to that week is a blessing to those attending National as that’s two less weeks of market manipulation and raising the prices on boxes lol
