FOTL sold at 650
Hobby was at 325 pre-release, it's at 550 now (sold out on Panini's website)
Photogenic FOTL sold out at over 500
Deca is over 500 on resale

Meanwhile, Prizm Hobby is stable in the low 400s. Has there been some kind of crazy pump that I'm not aware of?

Im shocked Mosaic FOTL sold out where it did because of how low presale was. I thought I'd be getting double digit cases at $500 and below. There was zero buzz so I thought between that and a bad class no one was paying attention to what changed.

The reason Mosaic is up is because of FOTL sell out and the product changes. It's not regular Mosaic anymore. There are logoman autos, Contenders Optic ticket autos, Color blasts, etc. They basically put Spectra and Contenders Optic into Mosaic.

Photogenic FOTL sold out so high because of what happened with Rookie Royalty. No one wanted to miss out. Everyone just assumes now you can buy at whatever and the product will be worth more.

Deca was a similar situation to 2021-22 Photogenic. The value went way up based on for some reason overseas buyers want it and it's mostly all getting broke overseas. There is no other reason with zero catalyst and no huge chase cards that a product you could have bought as much as you wanted at $300-$350 is selling for $550 less than 2 weeks after release.

I feel like all those things make sense on paper but still feels a little off.

- Contenders Ticket autos shouldn't make that much of a difference given how bad the rookie auto checklist is.
- Logoman Autos and Color Blast should push prices up. But double them? And let's not forget that the presale price was a ridiculous number already.

We are gonna see Photogenic sell at around 350-400 (more expensive that pretty much every other version despite the supply and the weak rookie class) because of FOTL. And there will be another excuse for Noir FOTL and every other release coming after.

I mean, all of these autos are great if the class was worth it, there isn't one auto in the set that can pay for a box.

You're essentially looking at a Color Blast or a 1/1 (Logoman or Black Mosaic) to pay for the box.

You can basically get 3 boxes of 23-24 Fast Break, hunt for Wemby, get more low numbered cards and more/better autos for the same price.

For Contenders it's Contenders Optic and there are vet autos of it too.

Color Blast is one of the top couple current favorite inserts.

Logoman autos are a huge add.

There is zero chance 24-25 Photogenic hobby would have sold out $350-$400. I don't care how bad the fomo from Rookie Royalty was. It sold out at $350ish last year and that was during Wemby Mania. Any price $175 and above with $25ish drops 24-25 Photogenic would hit the floor. I don't care what the secondary market value ends up being. Deca lasted the entire 5 minutes at the $300 floor and came nowhere close to selling out with 23-24 Deca selling for $700 a box.

We are talking about a product with 20k+ boxes. This is why they are selling it at a set price of $250 instead of an auction. Which I think has happened a grand total of 3 maybe 4 times in the last 5+ years. I don't think lightning is going to strike again like with 24-25 Deca hobby but you never know.

Non-FOTL Photogenic is no longer a Dutch auction (unless they changes things again) and instead will be sold at a $250/box price.
