Finally something positive Good Riddance Lemahieu. Wish he could’ve been a better player after his first couple of years but injuries and age took their toll. Other good news the White Sox beat the Bluejays 2-1.

It's kind of sad he declined so fast. The two best teams during this "run" was 2017 and 2019. It's a shame they couldn't win one when DJ was good.

I’ll never forget 2019 D.J. He is a gentleman, I wish him the best.

Great out trying to stretch that Volpe. He continues to stink!

The rookie looks good pitching so far.

Dominguez continues to hit. And they intentionally walk Judge. Breaks Mantle's franchise record.

Schlittler needs to cut down on giving up home runs. Thankfully, they have been solo shots.

Cashman: Yankees looking to add pitcher before deadline

https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...tcher-deadline

Seems like they need a releiver, a starter, and a 3B at a minimum.

Time to leave Dominguez in the leadoff spot and just let him play. Clearly gives a spark to the offense when he hits leadoff

Players the Yanks should target:

1. Eugenio Saurez 3B - He has been floated around for the last few weeks as the obvious target for the Yanks and now that the clog in the infield has been relieved by the DJLM DFA, it just makes too much sense. For some reason, his defense has made a sharp decline this year but he's usually pretty solid. He is pure power and streaky with Stanton probably being his closest comparison. It would be a classic rental as he would be a FA in 2026. Out of all the 3B that might available at the deadline, this would be the lowest risk and highest reward.

2. Zac Gallen SP - Why not bundle it? Gallen is on the last year of his rookie contract so he would also be a rental. He's had a really tough start to this year but seems to be turning it around with his last 2 starts. Another low risk, high reward get. One trade with the DBacks could change the entire outlook of this season without negatively affecting the future.

3. David Bednar RP - Pirates are sad and will most likely trade anyone if they think that they can get some fresh blood to keep the machine going. He is controllable through 2026 and would join Weaver and Devin at the top of the bullpen for a decent "3-headed monster". He would easily be able to take the closer spot in case of emergencies.

I was impressed that he didn’t let the home runs bother him.

Keeping a set lineup and moving Jazz back to second seems to be working.

Saurez - not thrilled but sure as a rental without giving up a bunch, do it, I would rather have an excellent defender like Chapman

Gallen - YES!
Bednar - YES!

You still need more arms however

Add some bullpen guys because Leiter jr was sucking long before he got injured and Loaisiga has lost just enough due to his injury that he is unreliable.

Anything at third would be an upgrade from Peraza’s bat but Suarez seems too streaky.

Zac Gallen would be a good addition better than most of their rotation right now.

Any bullpen help would be good because the middle guys are horrible.
