Both prices went up by $1, it was $18.99 for TCG and $20.99 for Sports cards for the past 2 months. The price increase is annoying, but taking away free shipping for Pro members at the same time is also a big bummer.

Figures, I finally got a Pro membership at the start of the month and made my first submission last week. Still a decent deal, but it was previously an incredible deal.

Agree. Went from an incredible deal to a good deal. Let's see how long the good deal last, Gamestop has to be careful NOT to turn people off

Here's my experience with my first GameStop submission.

Signed up for GameStop Pro online (used FIVEOFFPRO for $5 off). Was trying to avoid signing up for auto-renew, but somehow it was still added.

Submitted 5 baseball cards in Card Saver 1s. Employee had a two sheets of information regarding the process. Encouraged me to take a picture of the sheets.

Redeemed the 5000 points I received for signing up for Pro account for $5 off the grading order, essentially making shipping still free. Pro members are supposed to receive a $5 monthly reward so shipping will be free if you redeem that reward along with the $5 discount.

Whole process was easy and took less than 10 minutes.

But it was still cool to get $5 off, while having free shipping as a pro. It is a very easy process and you do get your cards back faster than if you were to submit on your own. Just wish they would quite hiking things up without notice. Like give us a month or so in advance before adding fee's.

Makes sense. It takes a while before it's "arrived" at PSA. Be patient.

I could be wrong, but they wait until they receive a certain number of cards before they ship to PSA.

Has anyone submitted a modern auto card for GameStop grading just to get the card graded? It says on the PSA website that any cards after 1998 with an auto from the manufacturer doesn’t need to be authenticated. I know they will send back pre 1998 cards as “do not grade” but anyone with post 1998 graded autos through GameStop?

For those of you that have used GameStop for submitting Pokemon cards, has the process been easy and are you finding that everything is the same as doing it yourself?

There's not much of a difference in price between using GameStop and being a Collector Club member on PSA. It looks like I would probably pay less to ship my orders to PSA if I use GameStop.

It's incredibly easy, even easier than doing it yourself, since you don't have to fill out a submission or do any paperwork.

You take your cards in already in Cardsavers (and they have them there for purchase if you don't have them), they put them on the counter, and take pictures of the group of cards with a tablet. Then you tell them your cell phone number, they look up your Gamestop account using that, and then add the order to your account. They print out stickers, one for each card, and put those on the back of the Cardsavers for tracking, then put all of the cards into a bag that they seal with another sticker. Then a last sticker that goes into their ledger for tracking the orders. Then you pay.

The order shows up in your orders on the Gamestop website. There is a tracking bar that shows all the steps in the grading process so you know what step it is on, plus you get e-mails when the order hits each step.

Ease may depend on the workers at your store, so far I have used two different stores and both knew the process and got the order entered quickly.

Just thought I'd give an update it's already to the assembly part and has been there for a day or two... Definitely going quicker than when I submit through other ways

It may sit in assembly for a week, and then in QA for a week. Remember, most of what we have seen so far is they arrive for pickup around the 45-60 business days from drop off at the store. It used to be closer to 45 business days, but it seems to be delayed a bit and may be closer to 60. But still faster than sending on your own and cheaper.

It ended up sitting in assembly for a little longer than a week then went through QA in a couple days... I just got a email from gamestop saying the grades are ready... now I'm just waiting on it to say they are ready for pickup...

This submission results were pretty brutal... well mostly 1 cards grade has me wondering what the heck did I miss...

It was a small submission just 4 cards... 1 card got a 10, 2 got a 9 and 1 card got a 7....

The 7 was from a fairly newer pack and it was pack pulled by me and went straight to a penny sleeve and a top loader.... this is my first time submitting a modern card that I actually have held and seen in person and it has gotten lower than a 9... I'm looking at the scans and I can't see what's up with the 7...

It's also my first time grading yugioh... I couldn't find any pokemon or sports at target one day so I thought I'd give yugioh a try since it's always there... maybe this is a sign for me to stay out yugioh collecting

I got my results back last week as well and got the email today that they are ready for pick up. I had an old GPK card that my wife pulled 30 yrs ago that they "couldn't grade". I am waiting to see what that is about.

Then I had a 1989 Topps Traded Griffey Jr and Deion Sanders that were pack fresh, that got PSA 6's. Pisses me off. Then I had a 1983 Topps Tony Gwynn with bad centering get a PSA 8. Makes zero sense. I did have a 1987 Topps McGuire I pulled get a PSA 10, and a Jose get a PSA 9. I may resubmit the Jose and the two topps traded.

Here's the comedy...
The griffey was a SGC 9, before I safely cracked it. Now its a PSA 6.

Then I had a 2011 Lionel Messi Sticker that started as a CGC 8.5, then became an SGC 4, but is now a PSA 8.

Make it make sense.

Grading companies make more profit by mis-grading cards than grading them accurately because it forces re-submissions.

I would bet that this is actually the current business model all grading companies are applying yet not telling anyone.

My first Gamestop order was taken to Gamestop on May 15, 2025. It just moved to "Research & ID" today.

This is 100% on me, but since it's been nearly two months for my small 5 card PC order, I honestly don't even remember all five of the cards I sent in.

I'm new to the Gamestop process, but since they make it so easy with no entering in of card info and you just drop the cards off, there's currently no way to check the exact cards I submitted for the order yet. Again, totally on me, but when submitting directly through PSA in the past, after a coupled of months I could always punch up the submission form, followed quickly by an "Ohhhhh yeahhhh THAT card" when I needed to look up what I submitted.

Hopefully after the research & ID stage, I can see which cards I submitted. Then again, maybe not. All good, it's just some random PC set stuff.

I've been lucky so far grading wise... this is the first time I've had a card come back a completely unexpected grade... only thing I can think is maybe I missed something on the surface because the foiling texture and pattern is crazy... so something could've been hiding surface wise...

I've never cracked a slab and resubmitted something for graded... I'm too scared I might mess the card up so with what I get it ends up staying that grade... I do have some stuff graded by bgs/bvg that I had graded by beckett when them and psa were pretty close value wise... I'm happy with the grades they got from bgs it just feels like they lose value now being in bgs cases.. ive considered just sending it to psa in a bgs case but I've had people tell me that from their experience psa grades harder on cards in another companies slab.

You can't see your cards until they get to the graded stage...

It definitely has to be.

This Tony Gwynn got an 8, but the other two below got 6's....

Tony Gwynn PSA8

Ken Griffey Jr PSA6

Deion Sanders PSA6

Then I sent in two GPK cards from the 80's that were pulled by my wife. One was graded and the other no grade because it didn't meet minimum size... It was pack pulled. Its all a game.

The GPK sticker that received the N6 minsize may have a "flare cut" on one corner. If the flare is bad enough it will not measure up and will not fit in a normal sized holder. Many have been graded/slabbed over the years with the flare. Here is an example of one slabbed in a larger than usual holder due to this issue (top left corner):
