Freeland might get a call up before then if Rojas hits the IL. I'm not convinced Rojas's recent injury won't affect him.

Ruiz isn’t going to do anything it’s a waste of a 25 man roster spot

It'll be nice to have a base-stealer (provided he can actually get on base) in Ruiz now that Ohtani has (wisely) dialed back his efforts in that regard.

Freeman moving up to the top of the doubles leaderboard, as usual.
Two tonight give him 23, which is tied with Lawrence Butler for third in MLB behind Pete Alonson and overall leader Witt Jr.

Dustin May cruising thru 6, scoreless, with 9 strikeouts on only 65 pitches.
Then again, the White Sox DH tonight is batting .103, so...

At least when they got to the soft part of the schedule they end up going 10-2.

Are you there?
I think Lonewolf mentioned he was going today, too.
You guys can have a mini-Blowout Forum Dodger Fan Summit.

Enjoy the game and the fireworks after.
Hopefully the Dodger batters can provide some during the game, too.

Dang, Astros setting off the All-Star Fireworks Assortment Deluse Box tonight while the Dodgers brought out a couple of sparklers and a Piccolo Pete that's missing the fuse.

Sorry to those Dodger fans in attendance.
If you're wanting to stay for the fireworks, maybe you can sneak a nap in the meantime.

I just feel like the 10 run inning from the Astros is going to negatively affect Noah Davis' ERA.

Dodgers have scored 495 runs this year, but given up 411.
Obviously, they're having a good season so far, but that's no good come playoff time.

The family and I had the misfortune of attending the Independence Day Massacre...the Dodgers, with the exception of Will and Kike just half-assed it the whole game...dropped balls, fielding fumbles, lame-ass swings, not running it out to first, and the pitching...beyond words bad.

We have a couple more tickets for upcoming games purchased, but I have the strong urge to sell them.

There may have been a little hangover from the Kershaw 3000 game.

Framber vs. Ohtani(+) today.
Shohei has faced Valdez as a batter 36 times and is hitting .139.
Teo has faced him 16 times and is .188.
KiKe's been good over 14 at-bats. The rest of the Dodgers haven't seen him much.

With Ohtani, Altuve is hitting .259 in 27 at-bats and the rest of the Astros haven't faced him much. Houston has largely turned the team over since its cheating days, except of course, for the biggest cheater of them all, Jose Tattoo-ve.

Astros are only 2.5 back of LA for best record, so they've really amped it up.

There’s a whole lot of runs given up by people who will not sniff the mound come playoff time. The team is just fine even if they will lose a few games by 15 + this year.

Mookie thrown out at third trying to extend a double (with no outs) in the bottom of the 7th may prove to be the difference in this one.

Well, he should've just been running instead of looking at the outfielder, and he might've made it.

Hader was given some generous calls at the end there, but yeah, Dodgers lost that one in the 7th.

Back at it tomorrow...

Tomorrow is another day!

Pathetic play against Houston all series. Way to get swept at home by the hated ones without two of their best hitters...

But keep pimpin' those all-star nods

It’s baseball. On a bad day the all star team can lose to a minor league team.

Dodgers still 56-35, second best record in baseball. I’m not sure what’s with the dramatics.
