I hear what boxbuster is sayin' about sustainability, and he could be right. But this Flawless drop was hyped and has delivered (so far).

I still prefer an actual card, but I also don't mind taking some profits on jpegs.

It's possible the buyers are Chinese money launderers, I pointed this possibility out years ago during the bubble - but if they want to pay $1k more per pack for the packs I bought, I'm all for it.

I also just sold a prizm WNBA card for $100, and it wasn't of anyone super famous. Bring on the NFT collectors!

The probably under priced it. Every "card" /25 or less and multiple logos.

I think even without Wemby, this would have at least done 3x minimum.

it was the most expensive pack drop they've ever done

NFL flawless was 100
this was 250

Yeah it was relatively expensive, but it still sold out in like 2 minutes, which is why I think they underpriced it.

You think if it was priced at $350 or $400 it wouldn't have sold out right away?

all the most recent drops sold out relatively quickly - but prizm and court kings many sellers actually took losses on. Some were selling those $20 packs for $16 actually

It probably still would've sold out at 400 but maybe not as quick

NFL Flawless is going to jump as we get closer to the NFL season. It has already made a run in the last 2 weeks. Just watch.

Have done very well on the platform in the last year or so.

What's going to happen when Panini loses their license? It'll just be on the Panini BC? It feels like if they want to make this somewhat sustainable, they will need to keep adding new packs/inventory to keep ppl interested.

There are some big Mahomes remaining. And as long as the Stroud shield is hiding, prices will stay. Just a month or so ago they were sub $200-ish. Now $430+. And with a handful of new whales entering the platform because of NBA Flawless, the pack name by association will get their attention.

Will love to see what this looks like when all the sports licenses are gone. I think that is when reality will hit for most of these early adopters. Panini is abysmal as a company and what they do when licenses are no longer in play will be key. They don't have a great track record and like all digital platforms they can shut it down, its covered in all the legal jargon and most users don't read that. I believe it says that by even using the app your waiving your rights to legally sue for anything. People like Spinotron can weather that storm and keep trucking. 95% will get burned though and that will happen long before anything moons on that platform.

I think there are 17 1/1 Jaydens, so packs won't sell for less than retail. But still, its easily their highest priced pack for a mass produced release (30k+ packs)

NFL Obsidian packs were also $25 and I bought 50 of them at release. But, a little lower QTY at 24k compared to this upcoming Select. Obsidian also had great inserts: Kabooms, Uptowns, Downtowns, Marvels, etc. Floor on those are $118. I don't see Select hitting that, but should do well with the QB class, as gomiamigo said.
