I was just coming here to say the same. I have had an order in QA for 3 days. That was new to me, I was hoping that I wasn't getting screwed on a grade where they damaged a card.

Value Plus order with estimated date of 6/26 is still in QA Checks and has been since 6/27. Combined with the lack of July specials, it’s clear PSA is struggling with the insane amount of cards they are getting (mostly Pokémon)

Still in QA Checks for me.

It is interesting that it is going back to the old model. A few years ago, we wouldn't get grades until the every end of the process and it would ship out a couple days after getting the grades. the last few years, they switched to getting grades sooner and a longer wait before shipping. Looks like they are going back to the old model. Not mad about it, but interesting to not see any press release about it.

It looked like it was on pace to finish by the time they mentioned but it's been sitting in QA for a while. It's weird becuase I send this with another Value Max but that wasn't on the special and that finished back on the 30th or so and they both went into assembly at the same time. However that went through QA and grade popped quick and this is sitting. Doesn't make any sense.

Did PSA give the QA check people time off? Seems like every person is stuck in the same QA check area. Lots of submissions sitting in that queue.

Yeah. a lot of people are definitely stuck there. PSA says "Your grades are being reviewed a second time for accuracy." SO I can totally see how this will slow things down coming BEFORE grades released.

If grades are released then QA happens, it's a lot harder to change grades. If it happens before grades released, they can pull cards and get them reassigned without us being the wiser. I'd assume a considerable amount of time is being spent looking over the cards and seeing if any grades need to be reassigned and prices looked up before releasing grades and charging your CC

This is the biggest load of nonsense ever. They aren't re-checking anything in terms of the slab or grade. They are likely running this through a "Card Ladder Past Sales Upcharge Automation Process" to extract more money in potential uncharges. That's it. But if they called "QA 1" or "QA 2" the "Upcharge Stage" people would rightfully go nuts, but let's call it what it is.

PSA saying "Your grades are being reviewed a second time for accuracy" is like the manager at McDonalds apologizing for the drive thru line taking an eternity, and then saying it's because they hired additional staff to check your burger/order once again just to ensure it's correct...and then when you drive away, they forgot the fries.

Even McDonalds doesn't have the audacity to troll their customers like PSA is doing here.

Got my upcharge email after about one week. They literally upcharged some of my items from 18.99 to 19.99

, though I did have some bigger upcharges for some others. Overall they seem pretty harsh on my vintage cards and easier on moderns. Gem rate was only 10% with a lot more 8s and sub 8s than I expected. My previous samples from the same set rarely had any 8s when I submitted it back in 2020.

However my original completion time was changed from July 18 to October now...
