The one person who did have him, has him as a write-in for outfield. He's on the actual ballot as a DH. And Devers is a fair choice over him.

James Wood should absolutely be a starting AS IMO.
If not he should still be spotlighted in the game. This is a marketable, very young player having an excellent season so far.

Revised my ballot. Not enough Dodgers IMO!

In particular Goldschmidt has fallen off HARD.

Acuna, PCA, Carroll. NL Outfield. Rest of the ballot blank.

Edit: Add a team catcher vote for Murphy/Baldwin.

This is still true - even more so now that he's on a heater (and a team winning streak).

.285 avg., 16 2b, 3 3b, 15 hr, 38 runs, 46 rbi - leads NL catchers in all these categories except avg.

New ballots with the finalists. Some very deserving players are unfortunately excluded.

And eeesh is Paul Goldschmidt ever in a horrendous slump.

My ballot now looks like:

AL
1B Vlad
2B Gleyber
SS Wilson
3B JoRam (though Bregman probably should get it)
C Dumper
OF - Judge (already in), Riley Greene, Mike Trout(someone else probably deserves it but anything to stick it to the Trout haters)
DH - O'Hearn

NL
1B Freeman obv duh.
2B Marte
SS Lindor
3B Muncy like I'd ever vote for Machado.
C Will Smith
OF - Acuna (dudes on FIRE), Pages, Soto(not only doing great, but also sticks it to all the Soto naysayers).
DH - Ohtani (already on the team)

BTW, yes I know I could have gone Dodgers all the way here. But first off, it would be hugely unfair to Acuna, Soto, Marte, and even Lindor though theres more grey area with him, and secondly I HATED what KC did in 2015 or 2016 or whatever it was when they had almost every single starting spot.

Elly leads Lindor in basically every offensive category. I don't understand why everyone seems to assume Lindor should be the NL pick.

Khal said (before he left) that people don’t like Elly, but he never explained why

Elly isnt on the final ballot. Its mookie and Lindor. I voted for Elly on my last few preliminary ballots.

Yeah, I was more talking about the fact that Elly didn't make the final ballot and everyone seemed to be automatically voting for Lindor on the initial ballot. It feels like All-Star balloting is nothing more than how big is your team's tv market.

Lindor did have better stats than Elly when voting first started. Elly went on a heater, Lindor went on a bender.

I seem to recall Elly had better offensive stats at the time, but they were closer, so Lindor had the WAR advantage due to defense.

It’s amazing the rest of the country is willing to recognize anybody on the triple A team called the athletics.

Probably the least televised team in MLB?

Nice to see three Dodgers starting.
Hopefully, Andy Pages gets in as a reserve.
He's on pace for around 30 hr/100 rbi, and currently batting .296

Javier Baez? What a joke. Must be a lot of "ballot box stuffers" in Detroit.
