I mean I've seen numerous kids (myself included) go from low 80s to 90s in 2 years or less and have seen low 80s to upper 90s in 2 years as well from teammates. It not a 1/10,000 event or anywhere close to that. Caveat of course it steroids makes most of this conversation obsolete as its gonna be more importnat then almost everything else.

For instance, name one pitching prospect in the top 200 that throws in upper 80s- very low 90s. Look at this year. look at top 100 pitchrs 26 and younger and see how many threw an avg fastball below 91 mph. There is 1. Humberto Castellanos and he thorws 89 from sidearm/weird arm slot Last edited by johnlocke36; 10-15-2022 at 04:17 PM. |

Yes maybee I was unclear. If you go to driveline they provide you with the tools that will allow you to throw 90 if you put in a ton of work

I'm on board with that. Unfortunately, most of the guys I see, even in central Florida where the baseball is really good, aren't putting in the work.

With how much a few members fill their mouths(verbally) with Degrom, you would think this thread wouldn't have died when he got injured back in 2022. From claims that he's best pitcher everrr, to he's had a better career than all his peers including Kershaw and that his career parallels Aaron Judge....get your fill here!

I actually hope he does well the next few years of his contract and can sign on to play a couple more year into his 40's. He doesn't have the mileage others pitchers have had.

I thought these were concerns and comments that should be talked about here where other Degrom fans can give us their thoughts as well.

I saw that Marinao Rivera was ahead of Degrom in both ERA and ERA+. His WHIP and K/BB ratio are impressive though for sure.

Yeah, that's the 1/1 cabinet relic.
2016 was the last year A&G had them. Very sad to see them go. |

I actually think this guy is underrated currently. 7 no hit innings and this thread remained buried.

Been wanting this card for a while, and finally got it recently.
The design and layout is perfect to me. Loved watching games at Citi Field from the Coca Cola Porch shown. [IMG] [/IMG]
