Default If your team is doing bad….

If the team you follow is underperforming, are you still a fan of the game and watch for the love of the game, or do you call it quits when your team is doing poor?

I am a lifelong Twins fan, and always will be. Years when they are performing like they are this year, o still love to watch other teams, and keep up with the Twins.

If your team is doing bad, do you stop watching?

Yep still watch them, not sure why sometimes but I do. Usually will watch all 162 or at least listen to them at the minimum

I don’t stop watching a bit. It’s mainly my fantasy team that keeps me going. After that it’s watching my PC guys, and just pure love of the game. Being a Marlins fan, I’ve just leaned to love baseball separate from how well they are doing that particular season.

I'm watching my Rockies right now and just saw Moniak crank a 3 run dong to pull ahead.

Yes, I am a sicko.

I can understand this, but I have found myself watching less Twins and watching instead whoever is hot at the time. I still keep up on Twins news, but I would rather watch the good game and watch highlights later for the Twins.

I forgot about the Fantasy aspect of it. Ever since I switched jobs, I do not have a fantasy league to plan in anymore, but I fully understand wanting to see you Fantasy team throughout the year. This is a great way to always enjoy the season!

That is fair. If you don’t watch you will miss the incredible plays. Plus when a team is tanking, how more willing are they to call up players to see just what if. If you don’t watch you would miss all that.

Rockies have stunk and still a bad team, but this June they have been really respectable to be fair.

The pitching is horrendous, but there are a few young guys who could be solid players if the team can build something up. Goodman, Beck and Tovar to be specific.

I still follow my Rockies closely as the main focus of my collection is Rockies team sets. However, I refuse to attend games in person as I strongly believe in not giving one cent of my money to the Monforts.

I'm a fan of baseball in general - I follow the whole sport.

You guys remind me of Major League. “ Too high!”

Die hard fans are what this game is about!

I understand not giving them money, but supporting the team is what it’s all about. It has to be devastating to a team to always go out to an empty stadium. How much more does it mean to have those loyal fans in the crowd. I am sure players know who the loyal fans are and treat them different than the casual fan.

I always watch my team (Phillies), and also follow what’s going on around the league.

When they’ve got stars and are doing well, it’s actually kind of fun to look back and see some of the names from years ago when they were doing really bad

I suffered through some lean years with the Dodgers (early 90s and mid 2000s) but still watched most games and went to a couple of games each year. You have to take the good with the bad, and hope the bad doesn't last long.

In the case of Pirates, A's, Angels, and Rockies fans, my condolences, as you're screwed until ownership changes hands.

Ride or Die with the California Angels.

We go way back, and we will always have 2002!

Become a Cubs fan so you can be used to disappointment in the end?

I watch all the Yankees games. I also watch earlier games, and west coast games at night. I consume a lot of Baseball.

Still watch, might not catch every game as I will when they are playing for something meaningful but there are few things that I enjoy more than watching my Braves baseball.

From TBS in the 1990s and 2000s to the long withdrawals living in Chicago until MLB.tv became a thing I cant imagine not watching them even if they aren't having a good year.

Back in the day, yes. Now, not even close but that's the only b/c I have no time.

The Dodgers have been bad many years in the past. I still follow them. They are my team regardless. I actually attend more games in person because tickets have been so inexpensive when they have a bad year.

It’s been a good while since they had a bad team though.

I'm a Pirates fan. Doing poorly is a way of life over here.

My greatest Baseball experience ever was late in the season the year my favorite team lost 119 games. Me and a friend quite easily (with $10 bleacher tickets even) sat where Marlins Man sits, directly behind Home Plate. Where the field of play is a true diamond and you can call the balls & strikes yourself on each pitch.

I doubt even 2,000 butts were in seats that day. If your team is at a low point like that, I highly recommend taking advantage of it to see a Major League Baseball game, way up close.

With the Orioles, I still tune into most games but I’ve fallen into quickly tune out mode if/when they fall far behind.

I think Orioles attendance is down 8% this year. The last two playoff years, the Os made a big push to tie playoff tickets to new season plan purchases. Seems like casual fans they recruited last two years have already given up and recent stadium changes (and diluted membership benefits) have put off many old fans. Orioles are in bad shape!

Yes, really like going to live games when the Mets are having a bad year. Not a fan of crowds so it’s nice to sit in good weather, chill, and watch a game.
