I think they printed ~2275 boxes given the numbered parallels and two numbered or autos per box. Not sure how to work out the autos in the print run. It's more expensive, I remember only paying $300 instead of $500 plus the EQL fees etc, but this year it's proper topps chrome instead of cosmic and actually has autos, both of which should be huge pluses. Still don't think anybody who got lucky will lose out

Did people already get all their winner emails across all 3 products? In other words, if I haven't gotten an email, I lost out?

Possible, but no way to tell till we see checklist info.
So far nothing points toward more thats just pure speculation.

Is there any reason to get there right as the door opens if I'm just going to the card show part? No interest in meeting celebrities, experiences, or any exclusive giveaways.

No in fact I recommend you don't. There will still be all the flippers in line for things like if Lids does an exclusive again, etc. Shouldn't be as crazy this year since there's no reason to lineup at Topps anymore. Last year if you weren't in line at least an hour before doors opened, you didn't get any hobby at Topps

I'd recommend eating lunch, casually strolling in there in the early afternoon if you're there only for the tables. Food inside is garbage and expensive. There are SO many good places to eat outside the convention center, you're in the middle of Manhattan after all. The card section was pretty dead last year imo compared to the National or shows like that you've been to. Dealers here were priced VERY high like the National and other big shows, but that was year one. I found many dealers last year were just there to gripe about being forced to setup at this show, they were also trying to use the Topps exclusive boxes to make something back

Are there regular dealers selling vintage stuff at this thing or is it all modern and mainly topps as far as what is sold

Last year I did not see much vintage, I do remember one or two dealers who were exclusively that, but more modern yes.

they sell everything from anyone. I saw another dealer from Pittsburgh already talking about how much Pokemon they brought this year. But lots of Panini Basketball and Football.

I figure you can find vintage at the show but it isn't going to any lower to mid level stuff. If this one is like last one you are only going to find the expensive stuff

I was trying to see if there was any autograph/photo shoot people this weekend and how much cheaper you could probably get it at the Chantilly card show the very next week. I mean I saw Charles Woodson asking $300 for a photo ops and I know I have seen him at CSA show for a third of that

If they are anything like the WWE version earlier this year then prepare to get your credit card out. Even the lower level base stuff that would be in quarter boxes on Topps Chrome version sells for over $30 at times

Again just for clarification Fanatics Fest is not a Card Show it's a Sports Con with a limited number of dealers who yes are going to be overpriced. You aren't going to find $.25 and $.50 boxes. If that is what you are going for then you are going to be sad, disgruntled, and come back here to complain. lol

Enjoy the show for what it is which is and immersive fan based interaction event. You wan a card show then save your money and go to The National.

But I was told weeks after the first Fanfest that the National was going to die and that they are the future

can't believe Geoff Wilson would lie to us like that

They are "encouraging" direct accounts to set up at the show...
It is surely up to the direct account, but future allocations will be determined by who set up and who didn't so if you have a huge allocation already, you will probably be setting up at the show...

Just got back. Here are my thoughts:

- The card show section is MUCH bigger than last year. Maybe 40% more dealers! I like that!

- The most popular booths were the ones with the junk slabs/cards, cheap $5-$10 slabs/cards in rows where people have to dig through. Lot's of those floating around. Another popular booth were the buying booths.

- They made a great call by placing the autograph tables on the lower level, away from the main floor. This was smart because they had a larger area for people to line up and also gives more space to multiple stages + corporate booths.

- Prices were at ebay or slightly above. Didn't come close to to buying anything as I really don't like to pay ebay prices for most things, with some rare exceptions.

Had a good time nonetheless! Will be back tomorrow for round 2!

Fanatics extortion tactic worked!!!
Direct accounts had set up at Fanatics Fan Fest or fear of losing their allocation...

Yeah from looking at the videos, it feels like the biggest advantage is that they have way more use of the entire center. So they can move the autographs, and I think media events downstairs.

It is always going to be more convention than card show. Why listening to all these influencers act like Fanatic Fest is going to replace the National is just stupid bootlicking.

As an old-school card collector, I don’t think it’s something I would ever go to. It’s not the part of the hobby that’s for me.

I would love to go. Surrounded by fellow sports card enthusiasts. Great signing cast. Fun events to attend. Sounds like a great weekend. Oh, and I’m sure you get to see some pretty rare cards.
