I know interest in MMA cards on blowout is way down but it seems it is down across the board as on paper these are priced reasonably for hobby boxes in 2025 ($150 a box, two autos per box) but they are just sitting on the Topps website. UFC in general seems to have less buzz then it used to but there are no doubt other factors as well. Even though the UFC is still making big money and gets high attendances to their events, it just hasn't held that interest in the card collecting community over the last couple years.

I haven't bought any wax the last few years but if that were to change it'd probably be UFC.

Been collecting mma items since before rd 1. Its quiet on here (like it always has been) but on other forums, its booming. Facebook, whatnot, reddit etc. Everyday is someone posting that they are new to the hobby and excited to start collecting

That said.... I am not impressed with finest (or any of the releases the past 5 years) but seems like lots of new collectors are having fun. The price point is not bad.... But it likely has a huge production run.

Is MMA as big as the other major sports.... Hell no... But it is growing. I hope the Royalty release has some fight used cards.... That will get me interested.

I was looking at some Finest breaks and it seems like a solid product in as far as on card autographs and checklist - lots of legends and good, young fighters. I thought Topps Knockout was an interesting product too for the same reasons. The singles also seem to be quite affordable.

I won't be buying any however as I refuse to give Dana White any money.

I calculate 5400 hobby cases, so that plus mega and value. Quite a bit made. Interesting they made retail.

I’ll buy some hobby but hoping prices come down

Funny how we all see things differently. Dana White is the reason I started watching the UFC. I loved how he held events during Covid and allows his fighters to speak their beliefs freely. I don't agree with some of them(Bryce Mitchell), but let the guys be themselves.

Beyond mine which prob had the only auto of a fighter no longer with the company (Robert Despaignes) I swear mega cases are prob better than hobby lol the autos I've seen have all been good or at least named veterans beyond mine lol

I've watched enough breaks to say megas are def worth a shot and some of the more loaded retail products, again weak name but I also got a numbered Lemos, most i've seen have a number with the auto which can also be numbered.

My Finest case from Topps came with 20 base card defects. I submitted them back to Topps. They emailed me 6 weeks ago that it was received and they are processing. How long do you think it’ll take before I get cards back?

I think it can take up to 12 weeks from when it starts processing. Might want to email them again at the 8 week mark if you haven't received anything by then.

Do you think they’ll send me the same base cards or something else as restitution?

In my opinion unfortunately I’d predict the base as there was retail for this set (blasters/megas) so I assume there was enough produced to just replace said base.

Yeah, I would guess that they will send you the same base cards. If you end up getting something different though, let us know.

They sent 2 packs of Finest(10 cards a pack). In the packs got /175 of a no name and none of the 20 base cards I lost. Honestly I wanted something spectacular but would have settled for the same 20 cards to complete my set. Wasn’t worth the hassle. Took exactly 12 weeks from when I mailed it to receiving it back.

If they were mega packs that’s kind of weak but I dunno if it was hobby I’d personally rather the chance at more hits than the replaced base.

Yeah, I honestly would've been disappointed too if I were just looking to complete a set. I guess it's just easier for them to ship out a couple of packs. Hitting something big out of a replacement pack would've been epic, though.
