Bought 3 more boxes. First two were complete duds, one was even missing an auto.

3rd one had a Clarke Schmidt golden mirror, saggeese gold (pc), k zone Kershaw, realmuto auto and a second auto

And this is why we break. You strike out 10 times in a row but that 11th time, you hit a home run. Beautiful card!

Breakers hate having to turn the card over to read the number. Ain’t nobody got time for that! We can get to the next break faster if everything is on one side.

Next year they will all be numbered 99/99 so they can yell “Bookend” every time they see one…

The dude who pulled Skubal’s Aces 1/1 gave it to him. The guy got to meet Skubal in Baltimore and got a signed jersey. If I pulled a rare Bobby, I would be temped to gone it to him meet him and get a gamed used jersey or bat.

I like it when the printing press stamps the serial number right next to the player’s face. Makes me laugh. At this absurd Hobby.

For the Aces cards, are they textured? Or just a flat surface? Either way super sharp cards.

I opened a hobby box. Not one decent card in the whole box. Really poor checklist in my opinion.

Why did you open a box if it has a poor checklist? That doesn't make a lot of sense.

There is a lot of really cool stuff in Series 2 (Black Border, All Kings, K-Zone, more NNOF) but good luck hitting any of it.

The 35th anni 1990 All-Star parallels are legitimately one of the biggest crimes Topps has ever committed.

My hobby case was pretty fun.

5 Blacks /74, best being a RC of Sugano for the Os
2 HFAs (Soto and Alcantara)
5 Autos (Best being a Fisk /5 and Rice RC)
Heavy Lumber Machado
1/1 Foil of Jose Igelsias
K Zone of Koufax

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but where are retail/display boxes sold (or do they come out later)? My LCS has them from earlier years.

Skipping the rip and just buying 2 factory sets (open one and keep one sealed). That way I know I'm flushing my money down the sh*tter ahead of time.

From the sound of it the smart play is on singles from eBay which is most of the time the safer play. I’m not opening the Jumbo to get rich.

Wonder if the prices will stay high. One of the best non-signed non-#ed base topps insert sets ever.....
