What do you think is better (assuming I want to sell in the future) grading a jersey card as authentic? Or with a low(ish) grade (like a PSA 6-7)?

Always numerical grade especially through PSA. Authentic can mean altered too look up PSA's guidelines on the designation.

True, but PSA nor any other grader can verify the jersey piece was original to the card or swapped out. So despite this auth vs. number grade decision, the card can be altered in either slab.

Since you mentioned it's a patch card, I would go "AUTHENTIC AUTO 10" over "PSA 6 AUTO 10"
For vintage, I would take any grade, but for modern cards, I wouldn't want a PSA 6 personally, and would rather have an Authentic Auto 10 grade.

If it's not auto'd and not some banger rookie or like 1 of 5 or something, seems like it would be a waste of money to slab it.
But for the auto'd, either dual grade with just the auto grade, or auth the whole thing (non-dual grade). I'd probably just sell it raw! |

From what I understand and was advised to do, for vintage only (50's), if the grade would be below a 4, just have it Authentic with the Auto Grade. The person who suggested this buys/sells HOF Autos all the time and he shared from experience.

I wouldn't be satisfied with an auth/auto-grade for below 4 vintage (50's) cards. I would want to know why it is slabbed as auth. If I really want it, and do buy it as is, then I would re-submit to include the card grade.
