Personally I LOVED being back in the Matrix universe, but the movie was just bad. The amazing action sequences that made the previous movies were either absent or slow Keanu is getting old, the hand to hand stuff just isn't at the level it needs to be for this type of movie, not to mention the story line was just meh. As I mentioned before I loved the original trilogy and the Matrix world, I even enjoyed the story line of the game - although I couldnt even tell you what it was 20 years later
![]() I reckon a TV series around the Merovingian (the guy with the hot wife from the 2nd movie) would be sick or some stories from the Zion characters, a different Matrix attempt, the Oracle, the original fall of the world even a story from the Machine's side of things like they did in the Animatrix, they could even do a west world type thing within the universe where people know they are in the Matrix and exploit it etc.. there are so many stories that could be told in that Universe it really surprises me they haven't milked it more. |

The video game was sick. The gameplay was god awful and essentially you were just suffering through to get to the next cut scene, but I loved playing another crew paralleling the events of the movie in real time. Merovingian tv show would be ok but that gives me John Wick "The Continental" vibes and that show isn't too good from what I read. Animatrix did a good job with the machine war stuff, and cartoon format probably was the best to avoid extremely high production cost. I'd take a prequel show following another ship crew right before Morpheus crew pulls Neo out of The Matrix. Maybe some large event involving multiple crews that coincide with pulling Neo out. |

Yeah… I usually try to participate in the weeklies, but $16 a pack for a property I pretty much lost interest in as soon as the 2nd and 3rd movies hit 20+ years ago is a bit much. Good luck to all that are buying.

I'm really picky when it comes to sketch cards and I was pretty happy with the amount of sketches I seen coming out of it that I actually liked... Prior to goonies I never hit a sketch on epack that I liked enough to keep but I'm probably going to keep all 3 of my goonies sketch cards... |

I'm skipping this set... I don't like the achievements enough to put the money or time trading in to the set

I don’t see this as a flip product that is worth the cost tbh. This product is for fans who are cool with paying $16 a pack for 10 weeks X number of times to make achievements.
That said, since most will likely end up in personal collections it’s likely few will hit secondary. So there might be value in future years. But then again, with the failure of the last Matrix movie, when’s the next time the property gets hot? A decade? I think it’s an easy pass at $16 unless you love the Matrix and are cool with the price and commitment not expecting anything on the backend. |

If there is one release that makes sense as digital it is the Matrix.

My understanding from another video I've seen with information on these, that it is a licensed product. |

Some people say they aren't but people sometimes make stuff up in their minds.
They look really nice. I emailed Warner Brothers to find out.

Some people seem to think that if it's coming out of China, it must be fake.
These people also clearly don't understand licencing deals. |

That's why Fanatics not having an ePack site is nuts. It could be the middle ground in trading cards overseas. What, no buying or selling fees? No shipping? It would make tens of millions per month.

Like Goonies, it’s definitely something you need to buy your way to the achievements. The price is too steep and there is not enough there for the casual ePack goer to buy and flip. And sets on ePack that don’t have sufficient casual buyers are notoriously hard to trade for.

Their 2024 revenue is around 10 billion RMB (1.4 billion USD), and they have around 40-50 current local licence for non sport cards, generally boxes run 18 packs for the most expensive boxes costing around 25 USD per box. All cards are foil and boxes are mass produced but you can get some rare hits. Their marketing strategy is to get it out to a broader audience by making it relatively affordable. The cards are super nice too. Most famous ones probably Naruto, and then Harry Potter. But they have like Spongebob, Transformers, Bleach, Saint Seiya, Detective Conan, Three Kingdom, Monkey Magic, etc etc Edit: I may be wrong these may not be Kayou...they are not listed on Kayou official Wechat Channel....Although some of the previous Kayou sets also not listed so maybe the license ran out.....
