Doesn't sound like James Cook will be participating in Buffalo's Mandatory Training Sessions this week.

Holding out for that $15 million/year deal...

Talk radio this morning was discussing if Brandon Beane is feeling extra pressure to get this done before Hard Knocks shows up, so he doesn't end up looking like the Giants with Saquon...

while a perfectly fine RB, I don't think anyone is realistically thinking Cook is in the same realm as Saquon. I can't imagine Beane paying this guy $15M/yr

Correct... they're fine with Cook playing out his rookie deal unless his price drops.

He's had one good year. A lot of guys would do well with that offense.

I don't think they're putting him in top RB money any sooner than they need to when they have no $$ for WRs.

Cook is decent. He's nothing special though. I certainly wouldn't really go out of my way and pay a guy who's probably the 12th best right now at his position (give or take).

11 of 16 Cooks rushing TDs were 7 yards or less last year. Look at Jammal Williams few years back when he had a ton of short yardage TDs for the Lions did not see it go to his head thinking he was a top RB in the NFL and ask for stupid money.

They are going 100% Madden Franchise mode....

Spend $95MM (increasing every year) and already $14MM in void years on QB an 2 WRs, while allocating practically nothing to their defense.

Should make for some great counting stats, but there's a reason they haven't made the playoffs the last 2 years.

Just wait until they have to have an assistant right next to her telling her what every call means because I doubt she will know what all the terms are when they are coming in to the QB while in the huddle.
