Jerry's been saying that since 1997.

Eventually, Pinnacle recovered. However, Meyer took a hard look at its industry and came to a difficult conclusion. Although investors were willing and eager to pump money into Pinnacle because of Meyer’s track record of reinventing companies, he told the finance people, “Times have changed. The market has shrunk. Technology has made us outdated. Don’t put more money in. I wouldn’t.” Pinnacle was liquidated.

If you're upset with what Fanatics has done, blame Jerry, he had multiple opportunities to buy Topps and prevent all of this.

Youngster, I did ! I can do much more but I’m judged on the ability to forgive but it’s becoming extremely difficult when I see those walking away without accountability while the workers are going to funerals.

If multi billionaires have the money to put a billion into spy ware, then I’m sure they have a hundred thousand to protect their employees from working in a environment not as safe as those at the top. Don’t demand the workers to risk their health when those at the top are unwilling to do the same. Then blame it on something different. Enough of that noise ! It’s not fun when people come up to you and state that they are nervous of what could occur as far as a reveal.

Chantilly show has yet to put any autograph ticket pricing up nor any way to buy tickets. Not sure what's going on with a show just 24 days away.

It's possible, but it requires people that actually care about the cards and not their value and market to be active. But it's a positive feedback loop and as the emphasis diverts away from cards, those people go to Instagram or other media or offline altogether, which dilutes the card talk even more and the cycle repeats. Just gotta gain momentum for a card focused medium but I've yet to see one, though I appreciate the efforts I've seen! Hope they can gain steam.

Ship has sailed. When he made that comment yesterday, there were three card product threads threads on page 1.

Bowman has been out for a month and it’s still only a 12 page thread. Five years ago you would have had 20 pages before release. The primary driver of Blowout traffic is now gone because the products suck. Some like to blame certain posters for driving everyone away. It’s a convenient excuse. If the products were worth talking about, people would be here talking about them.

This is just not true. I know for a fact that posters have left because of the boards toxicity. In other spaces these boards are mentioned with words like "cesspool". I even go through spells myself where I stay away because it gets so irritating when every thread has the same posters taking dumps in them.

If the half top dozen negative trollers on here left and were replaced by quality posters things would quickly change. You may think products suck, but our hobby is massively popular right now. It isn't the cards. Its the vibe here. About the only people who think otherwise are the ones doing the dumping in every thread. Its no different than being in a work/office environment with a toxic employee or two. It ruins it for everyone. And that toxic person always thinks its something or someone else. That whole lack of self-awareness thing.

In 2019 there were piles of what are widely acknowledged as great products on clearance at Wal-Mart and local LCSs. And I could have sprinted through the walkways at card shows. I feel like you will do anything but acknowledge your own role in what sucks about this forum.
